Go to Lonavla than this; the point is a skeptical place since if you visit here in monsoon/winters than it's highly likely that you won't be able to see the waterfall due to clouds. If you visit in summers then the volume of water is less.
Bhilar Waterfalls offers one of the most mesmerizing vistas of the Western Ghats. Often overlooked by tourists due to its remoteness, Bhilar Waterfalls must be on your checklist of places to see in Mahabaleshwar if you like adventure and nature photography. Surrounded by dense forest, the journey to the falls includes an amazing trek that just won't let your camera rest. The best season to visit Bhilar falls is definitely monsoon, when the forest around is lush green, and the 350ft high falls is in its full glory. For the thrill seekers, many adventure companies offer activities like rappelling at the falls.
If you are passing by this point, definitely you can stop by, specially during the monsoons. The waterfall from this point is very far, but yes you can enjoy the view. It's a very nice greenary scenic view. You might find this place a bit crowded, but that depends on weekends and weekdays also. You can find stalls nearby for tea and maze. Overall a nice place.
Scenic fall, good to visit in mansoon season preferablly july, august and september.
Nice point to stop and enjoy waterfall view when visiting mapro or Mahabaleshwar from Panchgani or pune. You will find very tasty corns here although they will charge high prices here. Also beware of scammers trying to tell you your fortune.
This is one of the most exciting and thrilling yet very accessible point in the mahabaleshwar region. The view is fabulous especially in the monsoons and the gov officials and the forest dept have a great job to maintain the stares which lead up to the waterfall point.
The Bhilar waterfall viewpoint is a part of the Panchgani tour if you opt for sightseeing tours as specified in the tour guide. There is a specific viewpoint on the main road to Mahabaleshwar marked as Bhilar Waterfall Viewpoint. However, the main point is that unlike the Lingmala waterfall, which you can see from a very close distance, the Bhilar waterfall is quite far. You would also need a camera with decent zooming capacities to capture the same in the camera. The best time to visit the waterfall is during peak monsoon as at that time you can see the full force of the waterfall flowing down the mountain. The background scene is also very soothing, with the entire hills covered in a lush green blanket with clouds descending on them, giving it a misty look. The flowing winds are nice and cool in this region. All in all, the entire scenery is exceptional, with the only point being that the waterfall is beautiful to the naked eye but is too far and difficult to capture on camera.
