Bhilai Railway Station (BIA) Bhilai is a small railway station serving the areas of Bhilai-3. It is more popularly known as Bhilai-3. Except for a few long-distance express trains, only MEMU and passenger trains halt at this station. This station serves as an entry point for Goods trains for the Bhilai Steel Plant. The station has 3 platforms with covered seating facilities that are connected across by a foot over bridge.

Bhilai a small city but appears to be like a Metro City. Bhilai is famous for it's mega Steel plant which is main contributor of rails for Indian railways. There are so many options for lodging and boarding along with good and quality dining facilities. Nearest airport is Raipur about 35 KM away which is also the best train stoppage to reach Bhilai apart from Bhilai Power House and Durg stations.Taxi service is available here but not cheaper as in other cities like Mumbai, Bhopal or Indore. For residential property it is good option for investment purposes too.
I don't understand, why railway is not giving importance to this station. No infrastructure and no proper maintenance. People know Bhilai in terms of Steel plant. No stoppage for big trains. Very disappointed indeed.
