Place where you get food while trekking. Need to book before only. Rs.150/- for one time food. Rice and any Sambhar, buttermilk available. No UPI will work here, carry cash. They'll arrange for tents. Toilets available, but not very clean . There specific timings for breakfast, lunch, etc . Check while booking only. Carry dettol/salt/painkiller spray as there are leeches all around. Only at one point near a tree mobile network available, just for few feet distance. As you are in forest, don't Expect more amenities/hospitality from them. What they are providing is a great thing. Much appreciated.
Stomach filling food i had at Bhattare Mane. This is a life saver for sure. After a long trek at Kumara Parvatha, we just crave for Bhattare Mane food. Anything will taste good if you are exhausted and hungry. So no comments on the food, just come and eat.
I'll share my experience but first I'll tell you important thing about this place that bhattra mane gives tent to stay at kumar parvatha, you have to register(by google form) atleast two days earlier before going then and then you can get a tent otherwise you have to wait till 10PM and by chance if any tent remains you'll get it....I'll suggest to book in advance, Rs200/person . My experience at Bhattara Mane As the sun began to set behind the towering Western Ghats, I went to Bhattara Mane, a shelter on the slopes of Kumarparvatha. It had been a challenging day of trekking through dense forests, navigating steep ascents, and crossing streams. Upon reaching Bhattara Mane, a wave of relief washed over me. The shelter, though basic, was a welcoming. Inside, I discovered a cozy dormitory with simple cots and mats, where fellow trekkers were settling in for the nnight. I collected my tent which I already booked 3 days ago then put a tent few meters away from bhattra mane- in Forrest group kindda place. The rustic charm of the place was undeniable. We gathered in the common dining area, a communal space filled with the chatter of adventurers sharing stories of their day's journey. The caretakers of Bhattara Mane served us a warm, hearty meal that tasted especially delicious after a day of trekking. Outside, the night sky revealed itself in all its glory. With minimal light pollution, the stars shone brilliantly overhead, making it a perfect moment for stargazing. The cool mountain breeze carried the sounds of the forest, creating a soothing ambiance. The camaraderie among trekkers was heartwarming, as we shared our aspirations and experiences of conquering Kumarparvatha. We knew we were in the midst of a unique adventure, bonding over our shared love for nature and exploration. As I settled into my tent surrounded by the peaceful serenity of the mountains, I couldn't help but appreciate the simplicity and beauty of Bhattara Mane. It was a humble refuge in the heart of the wilderness, a place where tired trekkers found solace and shared unforgettable moments. Kumarparvatha had already proven to be an adventure of a lifetime, and the experience at Bhattara Mane was a cherished chapter of that remarkable journey.
Bhattara mane is the welcome break in between the trek up to kumara parvatha. Meals are good in which they serve buttermilk, sambar and rice and it costs Rs.150. Better to call up and book in advance so that they get the right estimate and prepare the food. Also tents are available here. Better to pre-book. As of now no toilets are available here ( under construction), but u can avail that in the forest office nearby ( 10 mins away).
Humble. The mighty Kumaraparvata view can be seen from there. Food costs 150rs. Rice, rasam, buttermilk and pickle are available.
Very generous person, Bhatta. The food offered at this place is very stagnant, with rice - sambar, curd and pickle. Sambar tastes very similar to subramanya Swami's Anna save. A few things to keep in mind: - This place gets too crowded on weekends and public holidays ( I prefer to visit on weekdays) - Place your request for food well in advance. - The place will get a little messy on rainy days. -Be there on time or rather before the dinner or lunch time to avoid crowds. Rest assured, this is getting to be a wonderful and memorable Trek
Only place you get food while trekking to KP peak. They offer stay in tents with advance booking only. Food can be better.. huge rush around 600 people... No toilets available.. problematic for ladies..
Over Hyped Place, just carry your own food instead of carrying unnecessary luggage. And for Camping better stay at forest office rather than staying here, as it is very very neat and clean than this.
Bhattara Mane Located in Kumarahalli of Dakshina Kannada. The complete address is Bhattara Mane, Kumaraparvatha Hiking Trail, Kumarahalli, Karnataka 574238.
Pure nature but the trek while getting down the stairs and climbing it again more than 45 years of adults is not at all recommended. We enjoyed the trek while getting down and enjoyed the awesome view of the water falls one of the most recommended p
Kumara parvatha trek is one of the toughest treks. The trek has different vegetation: dense forest for about 2 hours and then the next 1 hour trek is through the grassland. camp for the night and enjoy the sunset(Very scenic). The next day, start
