Bit hyped place, Famous for Sev, Masala and Pani Puri. Personally felt those were delicious but not extraordinary for the time you have to wait. Service is late and Battru gives preference to few individuals even though they have come after you. Usually crowded.
I heard that this place serves very nice Pani Puri and all. When I reached, there were lots of people waiting for their order but the chat shops on either sides had no customes at all. It was quick and in 10mnts we got our order also. My experience abt here wasn't great, Pani Puri ka pani had no taste or pudina or anything, it was only ginger. Masala puri was ok ok. Not worth travelling so far only for this.

Best place to have pani puri and masala puri. Batru makes it the most delicious and same taste from last 20+ years. Price is very much affordable and good part is the peas is cooked properly and masala is always served hot. Yummy

A very enterprising and friendly person who still remembers people who visited him 15 or 20 years back. He knows how to treat his customers well. The chats were excellent and priced perfectly. Definitely recommended if you visit Shimoga.

One of the best Panipuri, Masalapuri, Sevpuri I have tasted so far. Bhatru has infectious smile which is difficult to resist. Rates are decent. 30 each for pani,masala, bhelpuri and 40 rs for SevPuri. Be prepared to witness larger queues over weekend although the planning, cleaning and serving is very fast
