Bharath Cafe, Karunagappally - Restaurant in Karunagappalli, Kulasekharapuram - Kollam, India

We recently dropped in to Bharat Cafe , Karunagapally . The property looks the same Since my last visit a decade back- the decor hasn't changed at all The food - mutton chops was amazing good . We ordered mutton roast too - but the chops was anyway better - the gravy is with garlic and has more pepper and spices whereas the roast was red chilies and red onion . The service was good - we were served by a staff ( majid ) who is there for 25 years . Bharat cafe still makes food in bronze vessels and slowly cooks it in wood fire The mutton biriyani is quite amazing though we dint try it . A great place for good mutton.

we ordered chicken noodles from swiggy and we got the quantity very much less its not even enough for a 5 year old kid. we paid 180 rupees for this and when we talked about this to the manager he dosnt even know how to talk politely hes arguing with us for this. very bad costomer service. very stupid manager.

I will suggest a one time visit, if you haven't visited BC. Because they have a history hosting with extremely good food. Just a shadow of old Bharath Cafe. Average occupancy because of its fame. We were 3 and ordered mutton chaps, chicken curry,fry and later mutton curry. With combinations of Appam,chappatthi and idiyappam. Every items lacks taste, we felt like even if we had it from a decent hotel nearby would have been better. For the price that we are paying for mutton items, it is far behind buhari,azad,filevan or ezhutthaanikkaada. The chappatthi was not coocked well is visible from the images.

An old hotel in karunagappally. It is now open after the renovation. This hotel is famous for mutton items. I ordered a mutton bhiriyani and mutton liver. The bhiriyani was average didnt beat my expectation.The rice was not perfectly boiled.But the liver roast was awesome. There is no sufficient parking area here.

We had a short vist to Bharath cafe. We have just ordered chicken Biryani. Food was awesome. They are using good quality rice and chicken. Service was good. It's was a normal atmosphere. Anyway a good lunch

Bharath cafe is one of the oldest hotels and a good one in the city of Karunagapally. It is located in Puthiyakavu Junction beside the traffic signal. You can take the service road and approach the hotel. Went there yesterday and had Aripathiri, Appam, Chicken Fry , Mutton Chaps and Lime. It was all good and delicious. Probably the best and only place with so much of Mutton dishes. If you want to have Mutton, this is the best place. Chicken Fry was also very delicious. Enjoyed it. Recommended

The Mutton roast was absolutely perfect and we were fortunate to get hot and crispy porotta which was a great combination. This shop has heritage in pure delicious mutton since it started and is quite famous and people trust that.

Disappointed with the food, overhyped restaurant. Ghee rice was average in taste. The mutton chops were very hard to chew but gravy was tasty. Average service and high price.
