Bhanwar Vilas Palace - Featured Reviews (362)
My expectations of staying at a rural palace were too high. Lower yours before you go. Our room was small, dusty and the bathroom was dirty. There was a dried stain behind the toilet, the towels looked like they'd dried 10 people before me. Nothing was 'sanitised for your enjoyment'. The door didn't close properly with a huge gap. You were locked in with a padlock. We had a wasps nest in our room, the staff didn't seem to care. Our tour guide negotiated a room change but that room was also pretty poor standard. Others on our tour reported a bed with stained sheets. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't change them as the next morning I looked through the door of our old room and the cleaner was 'washing' the tea cups with a dirty rag. The food was not great. The only good thing was the Kingfisher beers. I would not stay again. The one redeeming quality was the stuffed tiger in the room of requirement.
The bhanvar villas palace is royal place to stay with youe family and friend .This is the heritage hotel cum villa with all modern facilities with a perfect and comfortable service. Old vintage cars , marvadi horse and diary farm will take you the urban sense. Swimming pool give a comfortable relaxing sense. The room is quite different and each room is unique. The old painting of maharajas will give you the knowledge of past royal history of Rajputanas. Very nice service
This place provides a unique experience and transports you into India's glorious past to live like a king or at least like an honoured guest. Set in a small self sufficient agricultural estate and botanical gardens is this wondedful 19th century palace with marble halls, elegant verandahs an grand couryards. The staff are attentive and well trained and the food is excellent.
Nice place to stay, but this place is not on regular route. If someone going to kela devi temple in Karauli and want to stay there, is perfect place to stay.

In our trip through Rajasthan this hotel was for sure one of the most unique places. Karauli is not on the general tourist route but - or maybe because of that - we loved it. A very unspoiled view into a small North Indian town, with a beautifully renovated Maharaja palace. Please be aware: the hotel is not in the maharaja palace - but it is where the Mahraja and his family lives. And this is the most remarkable thing about the hotel: With their staff the Majaraja and his family take very personally care of their guests and are very interested in conversations and exchange with their guests. This is what we have never experienced somewhere else in Rajasthan and why we give clearly the highest rating. The building and rooms are old (and deserve an uplift in some parts) but they are very authentic. This is what creates the unique character of this place. We went in January. Be aware that this region of India can get very chilly in winter. However, they provide electric heaters for the rooms.
This hotel 'Palace' was lovely to look at but on closer inspection looked very tired , dusty, torn in places and unkept. My room felt like it wasn't dusted for years. I was scared to move the velvet curtains and carpets . The extra bed mattress was really hard and blankets were not in usable condition. They needed replacing. The food was below average. I had to wait for a very long time for small things like tea and milk in breakfast as their kitchen is far from the dining hall. Breakfast has only 2- 3 items with 1 fruit. There were no arrangements for new year eve like music, lights and gala dinner which were promised at the time of booking. Geyser and taps in washroom are in very poor condition, towel seems like never washed. Their full meal buffet is very poor in terms of taste and no of items served. I would never recommend this palace if you are looking for a heritage property to stay in. Staff was polite and helpful but that was of no use as they could not help us in above issues.
This is the most famous hotel of Karauli district in which all the facilities are available and good service provider along with parking also, all services are good. It is 3KM away from me
When any name comes to stay in Karauli... Only one name come kankoriya have live...very cool place for stay.... Feel the heritage of rajasthan........ Thanks very much.. For warm welcome
The place speaks of wonders of its time. The grandeur and extravagant character is evident from the very entrance of the Palace. As you cross the high arched door and enter the Palace gardens, you're suddenly surrounded by the feeling of something re
Mostly this pool have clear water as they change water on regular basis in 2-3 days of span. Good infrastructure and it has amazing people working there.
