Visited with friends on a weekend. It was bustling with crowd, big enough parking. Lots of monkeys and langoor, so take care of your immediate belongings. Good walk till top of fort from where u get a good aerial view. There are few chambers where u still feel silence and vacuum even when people are outside. It opens at 6 am and last entry is till 5 pm.

Bhangarh fort is around 90 km from Jaipur. The place is maintained by Archaeological Survey of India and State government. After a long time visited the " Haunted" fort, but it is not at all seems to be hauhted. There is nothing called ghosts here. People tend to believe that all forts and palaces have spirits etc. it's a well constructed fort, very well planned and built. it's a very nicely designed fort, well laid out buildings, market place, temples, etc, Things to carry _ water bottles. Mint chocolates, fruits or biscuits if you have small child or elderly age people etc. Its difficult to find drinking water here. But do not throw any where. Use dustbins It is worth visiting if you get a chance, it's beautiful.

Bhangarh fort is situated in Aravali hills in Alwar district. The fort has been made famous as it's termed a most 'haunted' fort of India or even Asia. It is a ruined fort city with five temples, a bazar, Purohit Ki Haveli, Nathan ki Haveli and a reconstructed palace. Interesting to note that no statues are available inside the temples or in palace. Bazaar and Havelis are roofless. Fort was constructed in 1573 by Raja Bhagwant Das. It is not clear as to how and when the fort was abandoned. Guide may tell interesting stories of black magic, tantric and ghosts which are amusing. Better hear from him and enjoy! Scenery is beautiful. Opens at 9 in the morning and closes by 5 or 5.30 depending on season. Charges for parking and entry. No restaurant inside or nearby. Afternoons are hot.

Bhangarh Fort in Rajasthan is an old and interesting place with ancient buildings like temples and palaces. Some people say it's haunted, making it famous for spooky stories. Despite the ghost tales, many visit to explore its history and unique architecture surrounded by hills.

I had a long time wish to visit this " Haunted" fort, so made it on October 2nd. Far from being haunted, it's a well constructed fort, built in a lovely natural location, surrounded by lush green hills forming a natural Boundary. Though it is partly ruined, with buildings having NO roofs, it's a very nicely designed fort, well laid out buildings, market place, temples, etc, with exquisite architecture, paintings on walls, roof, etc. The whole complex seems to have experienced a natural disaster like earthquake, bringing down buildings & in turn killing all people, hence the stories about being haunted. Visit it if you get a chance, it's beautiful.

Nestled amidst the Aravalli Hills in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, Bhangarh Fort stands as a testament to the architectural brilliance of a bygone era. Constructed in 1573 by Maharaja Bhagwant Das for his son, Madho Singh, the fort once flourished as a bustling city, home to over 9,000 residents. However, tragedy struck in 1726 when the city was mysteriously abandoned, leaving behind only the skeletal remains of its former grandeur. Legends attribute the fort's desolation to a curse cast by a disgruntled sorcerer, while others blame an invasion by neighboring armies. Regardless of the cause, Bhangarh Fort remains an enigma, its imposing ruins shrouded in an air of mystery and intrigue. Despite its dilapidated state, the fort's architecture still bears witness to the exceptional craftsmanship of its builders. The towering walls, once impregnable, now stand as silent sentinels, guarding the secrets of a forgotten past. The intricate carvings and sculpted pillars speak volumes about the artistic prowess of the era, while the remnants of temples and palaces hint at the city's once vibrant cultural life. Visitors to Bhangarh Fort are often struck by a sense of awe and wonder as they explore its ruins. The sheer scale of the fort, coupled with the intricate details of its architecture, provides a glimpse into the grandeur of a lost civilization. The fort's mystique has also captured the imagination of writers and filmmakers, who have used it as a backdrop for countless tales of the supernatural. Today, Bhangarh Fort stands as a haunting reminder of a city that once thrived, now reduced to a mere shadow of its former glory. Yet, amidst the ruins, there is a sense of enduring beauty, a testament to the enduring legacy of the people who built it.

It was excellent. Very much worth seeing. The view at the top was amazing - meaning I just can't describe it. When I read about the legends and facts on google, I felt very scared at first, but then, when I just overcame the scaredness, and just visited the amazing, structural, monumental and so-called haunted fortress, I saw what it meant. I observed that, the people who post those facts on google, they all always exaggerate. They tell those tales a bit too far. I cannot describe with my words about the view at the top. I was speechless. I would recommend visiting this fort on cloudy days with a slight drizzle. I wish you the best of luck!
