Yana rocks is something different which is unusual rock formation in this area and very rare to see such thing in India. Spectacular rock formation. A must see place. The forest walk towards the caves is amazing with green surroundings and birds chirping away. one is transported to a different world. A visit to Yana is truly a great experience . Worth the time & effort put in.
Great weekend getaway. Although there is nothing much to do there and it's a long way through the mountains and woods before one reaches here, the sight of the caves is soothing and it's calm out there generally. The trail to the caves is also fun if one likes hiking.
It's is an Awesome natural structure. the land scape and ecosystem here is different. The way which we will walk to reach the top is nice.it has a stream on the way which is cold and nice water.you have to walk about 1.5 km and climb few steps. Once you reach up you can see the beauty of nature.the soil here is different and plants also different. A temple is there on the top inside which a way to go inside the cave is there. You can walk inside cave and come out at other side.. overall it will be a beautiful experience with nature.
Beautiful location. These rocks are very natural, Unique and well maintained. Must visit. Make sure to reach this location either through Cabs/personal vehicles. The public transport (bus) is avail only at 7:30 and 12:30 (towards Yana) and 13:45 (Return).. Once you are back, you need to wait for hours to get a bus. So going by public bus is not recommended. We decided to walk down the 16kms stretch to kill the time.
It was truly an amazing experience to travel inside the captivity of the mountains. It was a different experience and I totally loved it. The visuals were epic. I captured a bunch of pictures. The light striking through the upper holes of the cave looked beautiful. And there was a noise inside the cave, the sound of bats or mice not sure. The trekking would be amazing if you have a companion. It's quite special to have a conversation with someone special on this trekking. I did see boards of "Leopards" and was mildly apprehended and don't know much about it. But it was a point on our college trip and around 100 people walked down these alleys.
This place is absolutely beautiful. You want to be inside the caves by 8:30 or 9 AM max. This way you'll get the best lighting for amazing photographs. There are two ways to reach Yana, if you follow google maps, you'll end up in the middle of nowhere. You will have to ask the locals on how to get there. My friends took an off-road route through the forest and across a very narrow bridge. I'm reaching yana, you can park your vehicles at the paid parking area. And there is a 1.5 KM trek to the top. That's where the caves are. There is a proper trail and enough resting points. You don't need a guide. Once you're at the top, you can get yourself some cucumbers and refreshments at the small shops there. Take off your shoes and go through the temple to reach the caves (that's the only entrance). Spend some time in the caves. It's worth it.
