This is a very scenic picnic spot in Udalguri district. There is a river flowing in the region in which you can swim or bathe. The place is really beautiful. It borders Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh. You can buy some stuff within the spot or from the nearby market. It is lovely for a picnic or a day trip.

Famous picnic spot... view is awesome... try to visit in monsoon season, u will get different kind of experience...
Beautiful place, good for a one day trip. Monsoons made the sunset worthwhile, was able to witness the majestic clouds hiding the huge mountains behind. Place has recently opened up to tourism activities but within this short span of time a lot of litter has accumulated. Humble request to people going for a picnic to clean or bring back their used and discarded items with themselves.
One of the beautiful picnic spot of assam. People come from all over assam during picnic time. Dhansiri irrigation project located here. It is largest irrigation project of assam. Govt devloped many facility for tourist in recent time. But there are lot of worke need to devlope this place as national tourist place. Now there are two eco camp devlope here.
It was a really happy day when I visited Bhairavakunda. The climate and surroundings are beautiful. It is beautifully enhanced by the waterfall coming down from the mountain. The paintings depicted in its various daul temples are also interesting. The Bhutanese border is very close to the resort where our army soldiers patrol day and night for our security.
I would say it's a beautiful and perfect place for a picnic. It's a huge area, so it can accommodate a large number of picnic groups. Although crowd and noise pollution makes the place suffocating. The water of the Dhansiri river is crystal clear. It's a border area of Assam, Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh.
One of the most famous picnic spot near the border of Assam with Arunachal Pradesh. Bhairabkunda shares its border with Bhutan too. Good view of river and hills.
