The most underrated and hidden gem in Behala and Thakurpukur area. All the items right from starters to main couse are delicious and very much pocket friendly. If you live in Behala or Thakurpukur or finding a place to have lunch or dinner in this area you can definitely give it a try. We were amazed specially with the main course Mutton Boti Pulao which is a must have item here. Charcoal Chicken, Chicken Roganjosh, Gondoraj Chicken starter are the items which are bang on too. Great experience great satisfaction. Few days back I went to that restaurant with my few friends and tried their food. It was really a good experience for all of us. We order their MAHA THALI the quality and quality of food really awesome. Not only Bengali food they have their Chinese segment also. So if you are a foodie and looking for good restaurant it Behala area then it's a must visit place for you.

FOOODIES make some SPACE for Benjamin Bengali They have some exotic Bengali combos for Bengali new year or you can say pohela boishakh So do try their combo menu which is mutton Kofta and Basanti pulao for Rs299/- other than this you can also try their exotic Chinese menu which I really loved because I am a hardcore Chinese cuisine lover so you can definitely try their Chinese menu But if you are someone who loves Bengali cuisine then this place is definitely for you. Price - Rs650/- (approx) This place is giving you a combo of mutton kofta with pulao just at 299. Enjoy lip smacking delicacies with your family at Behala's Benjamin Bangalee Although the name has Bangalee in it but Benjamin Bangalee is more than that. They are a multicuisine restaurant whose menu is so curated that takes into account all your favourite dishes across different cuisines. The location is prompt, easily accessible with the help of google. The interiors are simple yet charming. There is a separate section for smoking. Back when I visited, there was a hookah lounge under construction attached to the main restaurant. So in the near future this place can become a go to place for teenagers. Now lets dive into the food without further delay. Kicked off with a few starters from all the sections of the vast menu they have. Crispy Honey Chicken , Gondhoraj Pokora Crispy Chilly Babycorn and the popular Fish Fry. Both the crispy honey chicken and gondhoraj pokoras are boneless deep fried chicken preparations one with a touch of honey and the other with the lovely aroma of Gondhoraj lebu. Both equally satisfying for the tastebuds. The fish fry was top notch as well. With a thick fillet of bhetki fish, wrapped inside a crunchy outer layer this can easily win your heart. Don't forget to dip your fries inside kasundi. Moving on to our main course which again lived upto our expectations after the stunning starters. Some combinations that are worth trying are Thakurbarir basanti pulao with smoked mutton kosha, Mutton Yakhni Pulao with Charcoal Chicken. Yakhni polao, if I am not wrong is a dish from Kashmir and is not easily available everywhere in Kolkata. So you might just land up here to try out something new yet something which matches our palate.Also the mutton kasha was cooked to perfection. Finally ended our meal on a sweet note with their caramel custard.

Nice and delicious food served at this location. Must try Gondhoraaj Chicken Pokora, as this item was very tasty, crispy and delicious.

Today we ordered one special non veg (Mutton) & one special veg thali. Both were delicious. However this was our first visit. Overall it was a fairly good experience.

Benjamin Bangalee is located near Behala, Thakurpukur near James long Sarani . Few days i visited this place to try their some of the best dishes and famous items... We tried : Pan Fried Chilli chicken Chicken Cheese kebab Crispy Babycorn Barbeque Wings Chicken Fried rice Chicken Hong kong noodles Manchurian chicken Lemon chicken Mutton Thali Brownies with hot chocolate Cold Drinks or Lime soda. So the first and the most important thing about a place is the staff behavior and the quality of the food ..... So starting with chicken cheese kabab, the kababs were very juicy and soft.... The Pan fried chilli chicken and crispy babycorn had a great taste with tangy kick in it.. In the main course, the mutton thali was really exceptional and it is a perfect thali Or meal for an a bengali cuisine lover.. Apart from that chinese dishes were also great and specially the Manchurian Chicken was the best among them... We always expect a happy ending and it was a happy and sweet ending with chocolate brownie... So i would definitely recommend all to visit this place and enjoy their delicious food with your friends and family....
