Beautiful meadow at Benital fascinates you at first glance with a little dry lake in the middle. Although a major part of it is a private property, but you can visit the area provided you do not pollute the area and the surrounding. We were lucky to spend a night nearby to see the clear skies. One can stay at home stays in the nearby villages.
Oh this is a wonderful place even for family, nice view. The moment u reach there u are greeted by meadows. No trek to do. Its around 36km away from Karnaprayag. The route is bad. If u r lucky and sky is clear, u would be able to see himalayan ranges. There won't be any food stalls, shops, toilet facilities. It is not crowded. Don't put plastic wastes there. Nice place for camping. You are allowed until 5pm there.
Serene and quaint. Got to see golden jackals too. Google map is slightly misleading as it doesn't show the last couple of kms of the road. The road goes right to the top. The road condition is not too good in certain patches but easily doable by car.
A great tourist attraction. However, it is painful to see that some people leave plastic bottles on top of the hill.
Its a perfect picnic spot to go with your family with a breathtaking view of the mountains ranges and a plain grassland Note: Take an umbrella with you for sure as the sunlight would hit direct on you and don't foregt to take you water bottle Keep hydrated
This is a 26 km detour from the main road towards Benitaal. The road is narrow and broken in most places. The climb is uphill. Scenery is good. When you do arrive after an hour, you are greeted to a vast expanse of meadows. The place is calm and people come for outings. There's no eating place but that also protects the sanity of the place from human encroachment.
Good place for sight seeing. But there is no lake as name suggests but still peaceful and serene place. 35 kms from Karanprayag but last 26kms are narrow and bad patches of road.
Lovely experience .. visit here in monsoon season ..
