One of the hidden gems of western ghats. Best time to visit during post monsoon. Truly, one can witness the surreal beauty of nature at its best. Don't litter the place, be a responsible traveler and enjoy the view of this magnificent falls.
Very nice place if you are visiting before January month. One hour trekking is required to reach to the falls. There will be entrance fee of the 100 Rs per person. And one more great thing is direction board to this place is perfect everywhere. Even though we went during Jan end still a nice place to see. i would recommend to visit before September.
The road is good. Trekking is taking 1 hour time and 3 km distance to falls. Fully up and Entry fees is here. Rs.100 and Camera charges is separate.. Rs. 200 to 1800.. DSLR and Drone and lens.. the best time is September to December...
Nice and beautiful waterfalls. Rocks near falls are slippery. Best time to visit this falls is rainy season because you can see thick waterfall during this time. You need to trekk for 3kms difficult uphill path inside forest to reach destination. Beware of Leaches it will be there everywhere in trekking route. Forest dept will charge 100rs per head. If you want to bring camera then again need to pay 300rs extra (it is meaningless)
6th Nov 2021..This place is near Kollur ,Kundapur taluk. It's a beautiful waterfall with mesmerizing view. Must visit place for those who love trekking, nature and dense forest. Keep in mind trekking is adventourous and at the same time it's dangerous as the we near the waterfall. Strictly NO for kids <10 years of age. Bit tricky to reach the place as there are very few sign boards which we can hardly notice and need to drive around 2kms on muddy road. One way Trek is for 3 kmson the mountain and we need to be extremely careful while trekking as it's slippery, lots of big rocks, fallen trees and blood sucking leeches during rainy season (till Nov mid) One slip and it can turn out to be fatal. Entry fee of Rs 100(collect the receipt) collected by Govt authorities at the entry point but no good reason provided for the same..Absolutely No facilities being provided or available.(No sign boards, hotels, roads, sign boards for trekking, foot steps,no drinking water etc)Hence 4 stars..
Visited on 22May 2022(Sunday) Very beautiful place.. With many adventures trekking.... December to March will be good season to visit this place..In monsoon you may find Leach's....So better to go with precautionary measure like Dettol liquid, Turmeric+salt mix. Or Limewater (Sunna/ sunnnn). Beware !Now you will find many Leachs.....
We started our journey from mukka and the scenes which we came across was so mesmerizing during road travel , some unnatural scenes you come across .... When the map shows less than 1.5 kms I kindly request you to ask the locals for the direction because the direction is map is not accurate... They have also built a new brige to connect it nearly.....now the hardest part is 5 seater cars can easily pass the brige and the above road , it's impossible for bigger cars... The road is really slim.... From the bridge it is nearly 2kms of offroading .... Make sure your vehicle tyres not tooo flat .. As soon you approch nearer u find a good parking spot and some friendly locals who allow you to refresh .... After walking for about 800 metres you get an entry where they charge you 100rs per person and an ID card of at least one person is mandatory.... They won't allow to take snacks and juices and they will check your bags.... They will only allow snacks if u promise to get back the wrappers , if u fail to get back the wrapper you would be fined for it .. From the enrty it's almost a very difficult journey too many challanges .Need to trek for 3 kms on the mountain and we need to be extremely careful while trekking as it's slippery, lots of big rocks, fallen trees and blood sucking leeches during rainy season. One slip and it can turn out to be fatal. so it's better to be attentive at all times. For an average person it takes 150 minutes to climb and 90 minutes to get down ... The view once you reach the peak is just wow.... This place has given me chills and leech bites , but this trek would an unforgettable one...
The place is good and beautiful, the falls is situated inside and you have to trek about 1 hour to reach it. The place is amazing, but because of crowd you cannot fully enjoy the mesmerizing beauty. There is fees for entry which was 100 rupees.
