Bekal Ripples - Houseboat rental service in Nileshwar - Kasaragod, India

We had a fabulous 2 hour trip. Our Captain Krishnan and guide (Mr Ravi) were so welcoming and made the journey to the sea-break and back super interesting with their extensive knowledge. Passing fishing boats and local harbours, homes and life along the river banks, seabirds and gorgeous afternoon and sunset panoramas. The on board tea and snacks were good too. And the bathroom was super clean!

It's a good place to visit but the water and facilities are not a good place. I think putting 15k is not worth the house. The food is good but we can't eat it so smelly around the area. Best to book a room nearby and travel in other boats to explore the place.

Great Houseboat dinner cruise experience. Excellent crew and service

It was really a good experience. Just because the engine turbines got struck with rope at evening. We couldn't have ride at evening for our over night stay. Also the flush doesn't work. So I'm giving a 3 star. Other than that the staff are very nice and cooperative. The food was really good. Thanks for compensating in form of switching on ac early.

We (6 adults, 2 children) booked a lunch cruise through our hotel for one of our days in a 4 day trip to Bekal. The cruise was perfectly done and we had a peaceful afternoon in a houseboat on the river. The Food: The food selection was a local cuisine with fried fish, chicken with gravy, a beans curry and local rice. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. For desert a Payasam with seviyan and sabudama was served and it was exquist. We all loved the food and still long for more. The Staff: The captain was super kind and kept the ship steady, he also let us steer the ship at the beginning. The rest of the staff were extremely kind and helpful and offered us more food when we needed it. They did everything we asked. We are very happy with the service. The experience: The captain gave us information about the islands around us . The cruise was very comfortable and very relaxing, which was needed for the majority of us. Overall this was amazing with fantastic food, helpful staff and comfortable experience. We will definitely recommend Bekal Ripples to friends and family

We had a wonderful trip. It was an amazing view of the river side filled with coconut trees. When we started I was doubtful in mind to have taken a 5 hour journey.But we enjoyed every moment. Its going to be fun filled time with family and friends. We were lucky to have a pleasant climate as well. Lunch was yummilicious. Hospitality of crew was outstanding. We had a lovely day on boat.

We had been in the boat names Thejeswini. It was a wonderful experience with a good staff. We had hired a private boat for a 2 hour trip in the backwaters in Nileshwar. They gave us snack with tea along with this trip. You can also enjoy the karaoke along with this enjoyable journey or you can connect your phones through bluetooth and enjoy the music you like. The backwater was clean and the scenery around was refreshing with lots of coconut trees and other variants around. A lot of bird species rejuvenated the place. There is a bedroom with an attached bathroom. The place was pretty clean and well maintained. Try this experience when you visit Bekal as its almost a 40 minute drive from Bekal. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Things to do around Bekal and the first thing on mind - houseboat. Booked a car from the hotel and headed straight to our destination. You can book a cruise online or the hotel you staying. We booked an evening cruise but to our bad luck the rain took away most of the enjoyment. A warm welcome by our host and aye aye captain with a glass of refreshing drink and off we go. Thesajwani river is huge, beautiful, clean and breathtaking. Our captain and host were just amazing and kept us entertained with history of the place. The houseboat was clean with a bedroom and washroom attached, a dinning table for 4. Off we sailed passing by small island with familes living on it, fishermen in small boats. Refreshments on board could be changed to kerela banana chips, Ada pradhaman, Achappam, halwa etc with tea/coffee rather than potato and onion pokoda. Plz don't entertain loud music on the cruise or it will lose its charm like the goa cruise just noise no fun. Overall it was a mesmerizing and memorable experience.
