Visited Feb 2020. On my first trip to Patan I did not even know this place existed even though it is very close to Sahasralinga Tank. This is actually the maqbara of BAIRAM KHAN, I'm trying to correct then name here. Bairam Khan was the commander-in-chief of the Mughal army, a powerful statesman and regent at the court of Emperor Akbar. While on his way to the hajj pilgrimage he was murdered here next to Sahasralinga Tank. See attached pics. There are three structures, all seem to have been restored, not original. The ceiling of tomb has the largest bee hives I've ever seen.
Bairam Khan, according to some historians he was one of the best soldier and some don't like him, but definitely one of the most powefull person in the era of Shahansha Akbar, only few people know where he is resting, even the people residing around him doesn't know. His tomb is in very bad condition and may fall down in few years, at present look like a lonely planet, not at all maintained, no one is aware about the place. Even i was also not aware but when it came to know, i was very eager to visit the place because my geat geart Grand Father Pt. Ajudhiya Prasad Pahalwan wrote a book (in Persian) on him during he was working in the Mughal Court Delhi Around 1800AD.
Very nice historic place. In this place Maharana Pratap was came to save life of bairam khan from afgans and Mughals. Jay maharana pratap , Jay shivaji Maharaj .
Well, let me visit this tomb and I will prove to you that this tomb nothing. By looking at photos u can see that it is a temple not a tomb. It is in my wishlist to visit and I will prove with my facts. It is just made after destroying a temple. I will find proofs of it and show you there. Well, sooner or later. The tomb architectural pieces will be restored and the replacement of that stupid grave with real deity will be done.
This is mausoleum of Bairam Khan more than 450 years old. Located on the bank of Saraswati river. The main tomb is in dilapidated condition. Half of the structure is already damaged, reinforcement is done to save the other half. Some other graves are also their. Some restoration is done by ASI but the whole complex is in poor condition. it is badly neglected. Located at secluded place and road is very poor earthen road. Very few people visit here as it is at isolated location and there is no board placed here regarding history or even name of this place. Good for photographer's and and those who have deep interest in history.

At that time entrance of Makka was surat. so During visit to Surat, he came to patan. But in Patan, he was killed in Sahastraling lake....
Situated in the north-west of Patan, Sahastralinga Talav is an artificial water storage tank constructed by the Chalukyan king Sidharaj Jai Singh in the late eleventh century. The tank gets water supply by a channel from river Sarasvati. Back then th
