Bawdi Deep Water Step Well - Historical place in Neemrana - Alwar, India

You cannot recognize Bawdi from outer road until you read the blue board. There is no navigation sign board before Bawdi. Bawli Neemrana although is beautiful. But is in very poor conditions. There is a lot of smell inside. Broken structure. And no historical details written anywhere.

Close to neemrana fort, it is an old step well, about 9 storey deep. Though place is clean on ground level, water in well is stale and stinky which can be felt soon after you enter. Still a place worth seeing if passing by Neemrana. No entry ticket.

Hello friends today I am describe about Neemrana Bawdi , so guys this is the Neemrana bawadi which is build in very old. this is near 1.2 km of Neemrana Fort place. According to old local peoples are saying that the queen was coming to take bath in this bawari from the Fort. this Bawri was 10 floor down from earth surface nowadays you can see there is 8-9 floor are still there rest two floors are filled with the Sands or some water . This Bawadi is very famous in Rajasthan so many peoples are coming from Delhi or nearby Delhi also foreigner also visiting this place so now days local Nagar Palika has done some cleaning and some construction. so if you are coming Neemrana you have to visit this place once you will really feel amazing and excited as of now there is no charges of this place visit so you can enjoy and follow me for this kind of more info Thanks.......

It is a good heritage place to visit. If you have time you can go all the way downstairs and have a closer look. You can go upstairs from a walkway on the outer side. It has a view of the fort from there.

Good place. Must watch if you are visiting Neemrana. It's free of cost no ticket required

Transport facilities are less but available. You can get the e rikshaw or auto rickshaw from the highway to bawdi. Good place to visit for a few 30-40 min max. No tickets are needed. It's a stepwell in a small area. You'll get enough to know about Indian architecture. In one word satisfying but don't expect too much.

This Bawdi is the largest and deepest, as it has too many floors down, approx 12. But for safety of visiters, only two three are open to visit, rest are closed. Now it is an ASI protected monument. You may not found any street food near, so be prepared for it, or carry from home. Neemrana fort near to it. I feel if a monument is taken care by ASI then, they should develop public convinience like toilet, waiting room, food outlet, etc near to it also.

The only attraction in Neemrana other than fort. This is old well. Offering Aravali hill view behind it and near to city.
