Known as Battisa Mandir, this is an ancient protected monument located in Barsur village of Geedam Tehsil of Dantewada district. The Mandap of the temple is supported by 32 pillars, which gives the temple it's name. The architecture of the temple is very stunning as the temple houses two "garbha-griha" with two Shiva-Linga. The temple was constructed in 11th -12th century during the rule of Chhindak Nagwanshi Kings.

This temple is located in Barsur which has a rich ancient history. There were 147 temples built around this place 1000 years back. Out of those only a few remain standing today and Battisa temple is one of those. The temple is named so as it is built upon 32 pillars and is dedicated to lord Shiva.

This ancient monument is situated at Barsur, which is a historical site, about 100 kms from Jagdalpur and about 33 kms from Dantewada via Gidam. Two temples were built facing east direction having a common Mandapa based upon 32 pillars. That is why this temple became famous by the name of Battisa Mandir. A raised two tiered square jaladhari built in black stone with Lingum was installed in sanctum and image of seated Nandi was installed in front of Shivalinga in Mandapa. This temple was built in 11th-12th cent. A.D. in the region of the rulers of the Chhindaka Naga Dynasty. This is a fine specimen of joint temples mostly found in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

Located in Barsoor, this is an ancient monument protected by the Archeological Survey of India. There are 32 pillars supporting the temple hence the name 'bttiisaa'. Each of this pillars signifies the 32 sisters of Mata Danteshwari. The temple is dedicated to lord shiva and there are two Garbhagrihas in it, with nandi in front at each. Surprisingly, one of the Shivling is a bit tilted. The temple was built during the reign of Chhindak Nag Dynasty. Queen Gang Mahadevi, chief consort of King Rajbhushan Dev is said to have played a major role in its construction. There is also a stone inscription in the temple premises, contents of which are too difficult to read. This Barsoor Stone Inscription also belongs to the queen Gang Mahadevi.
