Must visit place. ASI has done a tremendous job to rebuild these temples. You can go via car, bus, bike. I don't see any canteen or shop nearby. Roads are narrow and sharp turns, so drive slowly. Best time morning or afternoon.

There are many temples in the premises with unique architecture. ASI is in the process of renovating. The garden from the entrance is very neat & clean and well maintained. No ticket is required to visit the temple site. There is not much description available about the history of the temple.

History says it was built by the Gurjar community in the 8th or 10th century. Later due to the earthquake it was destroyed. Then people have stopped visiting thinking some bad omens are there. There were around 200 temples of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Mata ji. Resortation started in 2017 and now it looks amazing. There is no ticket and you must visit the place. Around 20-30 km from Gwalior and Morena. The roads are very good but you will not see much on the way so be packed with everything.

The temple ruins are exquisite and simply seen to be believed. With beautiful architecture from different time periods this is the place to visit.

Excellent fabulous and stunning group of temples from the 9th century. They are still excavating the area but you will be surprised by the number of small n big temples, their design, structure, architecture n make. Simply Gorgeous and jaw dropping in aww that how could it look in real. Truly historical, extraordinary temples of yoginis and a lot of Shiva lingas & Nandi all around are found. Recently they have found a Hanumanji idol which they are yet to explain!

ASI at its best. Ruins of 200+ temples unearthed and reassembled piece by piece. Legendary KK Muhammad and many of the dacoits helped this monument regain its glory. Best place to visit and realise cultural richness of Gurjara-Pratihara empire.

This is just one hour drive from Gwalior. Very beautiful place. We can spend enough time to enjoy the architecural beauty of this sight. Needs to be protected because it speaks about our rich culture. ASI is developing the site. There is no entry fees. No waiting time. Wheel chair acceble place. Beautiful lush greens . There are no shops near by this area so keep water and food with you if you're visiting around lunch time. I recommend to visit during winter season. This is an ideal place for short picnic. History and photography lovers will enjoy this place.Peacefully we can spend an hour and more than that here. No monkeys and stray dogs. Washrooms facilities needs to be improved. Washrooms available outside but it was closed.

The site was restored by the Archaeological Survey of India with the help of local villagers and former dacoits. *IMPORTANT*: Really Nostalgic place to visit, DO NOT FORGET TO BRING WATER AND FOOD.
