This beach is at the end point of Talapady, it falls on the same side as Someshwar beach at Ullal. Recently here boating has been started which has attracted many more tourists to this place. During weekend the place is very much occupied.
Boating charges is 200 & sometimes goes upto 250 during weekend and it also depends on the number of people onboard.
Also, it's a humble request to keep the place clean and tidy
this is one cozy & underated local beach , which is on border of karnataka - kerala , getting there is via ullal Someshwar can take you on beautiful stretch beside beach or nia NH uchila its short route
view here is amazing , at the dead end you have parking space & you see beach on one side & backwater river on other side which seasonally connects with ocean. if you walk about 2 km from shore it reaches kerala border . recommended for family & friends to hangout.
cons - no proper shops or restaurants here, its a residential area.

One of the best beaches in the southern most tip of Dakshina Kannada. The other side of this tip is Kerala. The place is very calm and picturesque. Must surely visit the place. Just 20mins from Mangalore city.
Calm and neat beach.. U can enjoy the beauty of mangroves, estuary, and the Arabian sea. We visited there on a weekday evening. So it was less crowded.
The beach here is very neat, but this is not a place for swimming in sea. The sea seemed to be very deep there. So please don't try to enter into the sea here. There are a lot of other beaches in and around Mangalore for taking a dip in the sea.
Here there are no staff other than the local people to help you, in case if anything goes wrong. But to enjoy an evening, walking through the sands this is the place..

The owner is very friendly and courteous. If you have a big list of items just give the list to them and they will have it ready for soon and meanwhile you can do other shopping and by the time you return it will be ready.
