We went to Majuli at the time of Bihu Festival and one of my good friend suggested that we should go to Dhemaji where we'll be able to witness the celebration of Bihu on a different level and I was really eager to see it. So while going to Dhemaji, we made a stop here and saw this place. From Majuli we took a trekker to Jengraimukh and from there we got in a car and went to see this place. This place was right beside a tea estate. Geographically speaking Sri Sri Basudev Than is situated in North Lakhimpur district i.e. the Upper Assam. It is one of the oldest temples of assam which was established during the era of Ahom kings. The place was very lush in greenery. This temple has a long history and tradition attached to it and many devotees from far places come here to pay their respect. As it was the time of Bihu people were swarming in to go to the temple. We spent some time there and while I listened to the stories about this from my friend. Therefore it was a nice experience for which I'm really grateful.
Very peaceful and serene. The compound is properly maintained with all the basic facilities and amenities. There is a large field for parking and various shops and stalls for the necessary items as well . The management was also very cooperative . Overall a very peaceful place with religious significance. Recommended for everyone who would want to spend some time peacefully . Drop a like if you find this helpful.
