Bassi Fort Palace - Hotel in Bassi - Chittorgarh, India

The palace is beautiful and we had the unique privilege of celebrating Diwali with them! They made special arrangements for crackers and diyas because we were the only guests that night, which made us feel very special indeed! For Service I would give them 10/5, they were that good and they made an effort to accomplish our very request. The owners Mr and Mrs Singh and his son were warm and welcoming and treated us like their personal guests in their home. We are grateful for the special care they took of our Senior member of the group.

Even though the check in time was 2 pm., we reached the hotel by 6.30 p.m. when we reached, the rooms were not properly cleaned. We had booked 2 rooms. There were many hornets and had to wait till the staff killed it ( by spraying HIT), which was suffocating. They charged exorbitantly for food items . We had booked the hotel for 4 days, but due to these issues, we cut short our stay. Had requested for a refund which was rejected. Overall our experience was horrible. I should rate it 1* which i am not doing.

FANTASTIC!!! Exact that what we like. Old palace with very amazing rooms. The time is over for this palace and that's exactly the charm. Expect no five star service but basic friendly stuff which turns the light of at 9 pm. Want you see how Rajas lived in ancient times? Go there. Lovely

A beautiful heritage property near Chittorgarh, the drive from Chittorgarh to Bassi is a pleasant one. The approach to the palace itself once you reach Bassi town can be easily found by asking locals. Once you enter the palace's premises it's a different world altogether. The rooms are beautifully furnished with antique furniture and has all modern amenities. The room we were staying in had a sitting area that was an added treat. A nook by the window that opens up in the garden is a delight to wake up to. And the garden itself is beyond words. Specially for birders like me, we had a lovely time by the pool, spotted almost 30+ species in an hour or so. The service is also great, the staff was attentive and catered to all our requests. We did hear a big group complaining about delays but we had a wonderful experience with the dinner and breakfast we had here. When choosing the place we were originally only planning to stay for a day but ended up extending since the place was so beautiful. Would definitely recommend to people visiting chitauragarh

Booked 5 rooms for New year's. It's like a ghost town with no other people around. Worst service you can imagine and definitely overpriced. They didn't meet the basic expectations they had set in terms of providing food and clean matress. They have hired a sales person to push this old property. Not worth it.

This hotel definitely has lots old world charm, but the bathrooms and bedrooms really need renovating. It's also a long way from Chittaugarh, and the taxi from the train station and fort is expensive.

We had an awesome experience visiting this palace resort. We got the feel of staying and being in royal palace, which have incredible architecture and great peace of mind. Surely visit this place for perfect weekend diving into history of royal fort palace.

If you like exploring historical structures without crowds this is the place for you. We reached at night and were pleasantly surprised in the morning. It's an old, sprawling place and has been kept I'm guessing as well as circumstances allow. Full of old nooks and crannies and bits to explore. The staff was courteous and food decent. Would love to come back with more time!
