Treat to pass through ...pleasant view of the River Hogol which is in full capacity in monsoon but dried and shallow in the winter months upto March-April.... Hogol river flows in between sonakhali and Basanti which is a branch of Matla which flows parallel to bidyadhari in the southern part ...bidyadhari flows between Basanti Gadkhali and Gosaba...Therefore Basanti Bridge is the second gateway to Basanti Gadkhali Gosaba Jharkhali and Sundarban ...the first being the Canning Bridge over Matla ...which is the parent river of Hogol ..... Basanti bridge connects canning sonakhali road traffic to Basanti Gadkhali Jharkhali ... Thanks to all

It's a bridge over Hogol river, inaugurated on 2006. Tourist boats start their journey for Sundarban from adjacent river bank of the bridge. Nice place for photographers.

Good place for evening time pass

Basanti bridge is a marvelous and glorious out location evening and afternoon time this bridges connect with man soul to nature beautiful scene of sun rises and sun down. Problem is that bridge is no light at night it is a big problem
