On top of that, you discovered a cockroach in your noodles, which is unacceptable and shows a lack of hygiene and care in the preparation of the food. The ambience of Basant was equally disappointing. The restaurant lacked any character and felt run-down and dirty. The lighting was poor, and the furniture was uncomfortable. The overall ambiance was not inviting or welcoming, and it did not add to the dining experience. The management at Basant was lacking as well. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, and they did not address my concerns about the food quality or the presence of a cockroach in your dish. The lack of accountability and responsibility shown by the management was concerning. Overall, I cannot recommend Basant as a restaurant to visit. The poor quality of food, the uninviting ambiance, and the lack of care shown by the management are significant issues that cannot be overlooked. I would advise looking for alternative options for Chinese cuisine in the area.
