I recently had an incredible experience at Basadi Betta, located just 90 kms from Bangalore. It was a perfect Sunday morning outing with friends and family, and I can't recommend it enough for those seeking a quick and rejuvenating getaway. The trek to the top of Basadi Betta was just the right amount of adventure. The well-maintained path included steps, making the ascent quite manageable for people of all ages. I would suggest visiting early in the morning to beat the heat and enjoy the mesmerizing views in the cool, refreshing air. Upon reaching the summit, we were greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view that left us in awe. The surrounding landscapes were a treat for the eyes, with lush greenery and rolling hills stretching as far as the eye could see. The tranquility of the place and the harmony with nature made it a truly unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of the trek was the serene lake view from the top. It was a sight to behold - the glistening waters reflecting the clear blue sky, creating a picture-perfect postcard scene. The peaceful ambiance made it an ideal spot for relaxing and enjoying quality time with loved ones. For those with limited time, Basadi Betta is an excellent half-day activity. The short trek, breathtaking views, and serene lake view from the top make it a complete package for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. In conclusion, Basadi Betta is a hidden gem located conveniently close to Bangalore, offering a delightful and refreshing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Whether you're an avid trekker, a nature lover, or just someone seeking a peaceful retreat, this place won't disappoint. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore this scenic gem. I can't wait to return for another blissful experience. Highly recommended!

Awesome place for a half-day get away from the city shor, less crowded, amidst the nature around there with beautiful scenic view the basadi betta & also the lake nearby adds to the charm. One can either climb the steps to trek to the top or there is a road available from behind the hill for cars, bikes to reach the basadi, local autos are available too. There are few small stalls nearby in the entrance selling tender coconut, bhutta, bhelpuri, chips & some snacks available on all days. There are no entrance fees to basadi only parking fees for cars should be paid. One can reach the place to view the beautiful sunset & sunrise, The best time to visit would be early morning or in the evening. Do not litter the place.

If you are based out of Bangalore and looking out for a days outing, then Mandaragiri Hill is the perfect weekend get away. It's around 62-65 Kms from Bangalore, comes under Tumkur district. It has around 430-450 steps or can be hiked alongside to reach the hill top. A beautiful peacock shaped Jain Temple, a small pond and the view from the hill top is picturesque. A beautiful sight seeing place and perfect for photography.

It's a Beautiful Hill with a small temple on the Top.... The steps are craved out of the Hill & there's railing for the support to climb up! Below the hill on one side is a Jaina Basadi or mandapa with the Statue of Mahavira... On the other side is a beautiful lake! It's very serene, calm & peaceful.

Nice place to hangout with family and friends for a half day trip around Bangalore. Along with the nice garden view we can also climb the small hill (which has steps) and explore the amazing scenery. There is also a mydala lake, we can play in the water too.
