It's a great heritage site in Lucknow but it's not maintained. They charge a good amount for ticket and guide, but their service is poor. You are lucky if you get good guide there. People have spitted in corners. Requesting to all the Guthakha lover, please don't spit anywhere you wish to.
Historical landmark in Lucknow.. but management needs to be improved.. ticket is 50 rs per person.. and guide charge is 200 rupees.. nothing to see without guide.. but the place is the main tourist attraction so you have to visit..
The place is impressive and lots of things to see. Tickets r also very reasonable. In Rs50 you can see everything inside. Guides take about 100-200Rs. Guides are compulsory to visit bhool bhulaiya, which is inside the campus only. But it isn't maintained well, so that is a negative point and mostly the whole place is crowded
Management needs to be improved. Compounds have good waste disposals at every nook but People should not be allowed to enter the main building like bhool bhulaiya with plastic bottles and juice cartons. There were many left overs along the chambers. It affected the experience. I didn't click photos as I didn't want to ruin the image. It's worth a visit though. Has stalls for snacks inside too. Very good price for quality handicraft products is also there- looting the visitor is not the intention here, which was highly commendable of the young vendors. Total visit cost from snacks+ guide + parking+ souvenirs+ entry fee (4 people) = ~ Rs1500/-
Touristy place in Lucknow History is attached with it You can pay 50 rupees per person for entry fees Take a guide in 200 rupees. He will show you the tricks to pass the maze. Otherwise there is nothing to see in it. Small mazes where you will be lost. One wall where whispering will be heard in a distant place only if the place is quiet. No place to put the shoes or no parking space. Once you can visit.

One of the unique and mind boggling wonder of architectural genius of the historical times, the Bara Imambara is a must visit at Lucknow. The huge structure without any pillars, the maze of corridors called Bhulbhulaiya constructed within the walls are only to name a few of the architectural marvels that can be experienced there. However it is highly recommended to take an official guide available within the premise to find one's way out because the maze of corridors are said to have 1024 entries and only one exit. Also people with Claustrophobia should avoid this portion of the Bara Imambara. The place remains closed on Mondays. Please check the official timings of visiting the place beforehand.
Bara imambara is famous for its labyrinth or vulvulaya. The architecture is good and it is still well maintained by Lucknow govt. But in labyrinth one have to take the guide otherwise it is very difficult to get back from that.
