Baptist Christian Hospital - Hospital in Tezpur - Sonitpur, India

The support stuff and the lab assistant are very unprofessional in their in their job. The patient have to wait so long for a simple ultrasound or x-ray. I have a worst experience there. Never recommend this hospital to anyone I know. The management should eye on this kind of behaviour of stuff members.

I like the services provided by BCH. I found good as best place for treatment. Thanks for the services provided.

Good Christian Missionary hospital , Stuff are good and doctors are well trained. One problem may patient feel during consultation as their stuff is not understanding Assamese.

Consultant was good! Doctors are very polite and honest but the supporting team like nurses lab assit.. are very rude and unprofessional! Specially OPD section nurses, they don't have manners to speak with patients! They should understand that patients are already suffering from there illness in that nurses will add more illness to them by way of they speak . Management have to look into this immediately. Not following first come first out process ! The worst scenario of lab assistant & nursees behaviour ...

This would seem totally irrelevant because I belong to the baby boomers generation, and I am writing about the BCH, Tezpur of 40-50 years ago. You see, my father was a doctor here, and we grew up inside the campus / mission compound. The hospital was absolutely clean, the campus neat and a great place to grow up in, ensconced as we were in a very secure and wholesome environment. Emmanuel Baptist Church inside the compound was an integral part of our lives and played a pivotal role in shaping our futures and individual destinies. I was a first batch student of the Emmanuel Christian School established in 1969(?). In those days there were very few hospitals, and BCH, which was under NBBCA was offering yeoman service and medical care to many people / patients not only of Tezpur town but outlying areas and tea-gardens. Also, there were Health Centres / clinics at Lakhimpur, Gogamukh, Bengenagora and Harisinga being run by BCH with dedicated staff permanently posted in these far-flung towns and mofussil. I guess during my dad's time and the years before that and some more years following, the hospital had built quite a reputation, all of it mostly good. It might not be wrong to add that every employee of the hospital worked with utmost sincerity and dedication as they considered themselves not only as paid service providers (this term was not known then), but as partners, even though I might daresay, the salaries were not something to boast about. But God blessed the people, and their progeny flourished. I am sure under the next / present management, the hospital has done even better. I wish the hospital great success in their service to mankind and God, as this hospital has a lot of history, having been established in c.1952 by the American Baptist Missions to offer medical treatment to what was invariably a remote area back then.
