The beauty of this concept of heritage buildings being turned into tourist bnb, has been ruined by the sick mentality of the people sitting at the heritage office whose running the place. The lady who picks up the call if you call this property has so much of negativity and moral issues with rude and a hint of superiority complex.. when i called, she first asked me about my marriage certificate which is wrong in so many levels. Then , the attitude on her tone and suddenly disconnecting the call , are some of the gestures I had to face.. I will definitely not book , as i could imagine the level of courtesy i will receive in the property, if the people running it are so rude.
I love this property, it feels different from other heritages, it feels like a home. Preservation is very good, details and space around this house worth to spend your time. It's for people who loves quite time and nature, who wants to slow down and reflect.
Excellent accommodation with great personalised service. The location is amidst lush green tea plantations.
There are only 7 rooms in a 150+ year old tea estate manager's bungalow. Not to worry, the bungalow is really well maintained and the rooms are equipped with all modern amenities.
What a beautiful piece of art ! If only it had been maintained after the passing of its proprietor.
While some major work needs to be done on the approach road to the property, which is nestled in between a tea garden, the classic interiors and furniture leave you in awe of the place.
Named after the age old Banyan tree on the property grounds this beautiful place has expansive lawns, about 10-12 rooms and a swimming pool. The banyan tree, however, was struck by lightening during the Covid lockdown and failed to survive. What a loss to the property and to the town as a whole.
Must visit with family for a fine Sunday lunch with drinks. BYOB.
Nice, quiet place with nothing to do except relax & eat. Tranquil atmosphere and helpful staff. Approach roads are pretty bad, though.
Good place to chill for a day or two. Colonial style bunglow is very imposing and grand. Well maintained gardens. There 8s a swimming pool too, though i am not convinced about its cleanliness!! Food is average. Its in the midst of a lush green tea estate. Staff is courteous.
Unkempt and unmaintained. Heritage properties need to be taken care. Would recommend a stay here. Tranquil and beautiful outdoors. The kitchen was very very filthy.
Old Heritage building. Although the old Banyan tree is dead, but still has its own charm. Good and friendly staff
