Visited the beautiful station on October of 2016 while going with my parents for a small trip to the city. Stayed in the deluxe rooms of the railway which are no less than any decent hotel but a lot cheaper. Rooms were hygienic, air conditioned and pleasing. Definitely recommend as a cheaper alternative to hotels outside the station. Food is available in shops and restaurants in and around the station.
The railway station and the easy access to platform 7 from the back gate is great. But this review is about the restrooms in ticket counter building. Even though it is a paid service and there is a person collecting money, the cleanliness is absolutely THE WORST I have ever experienced!!!!
Collected 3 times more for baggy service ( electric passenger vehicle) picked up after 45 minutes of informing , poor service.
Review specifically about the parking near the back gate of the majestic railway station. There is construction currently in progress in the current parking space. Due to this, it is a real hassle to park. They still charge the same amount.
Station is not clean at all and Management is very disgusting if you ask for platform number they say to look at the TV instead atleast answering the question and disgusting to see all platform number or stations in Hindi in Karnataka im not against but it shod be in English atleast to someone who doesn't know hindi In their native places and who doesn't know to read hindi that easily in their native places
As a tourist, I recommend a great place to visit. Make sure you get a platform pass from the ticket office. You want to see real India, then you will find it at a railway station and this place is a nice one to see.
Quick access to platform no. 5,6,7,8 from bangalore city Railway station... Clean station according to Railway standards in India... Few more food joints will make it a great station
It's good place, better platform, good Railway canteen and free Wi-Fi here with better speed.
