Bandipura National park Safari Point - Wildlife and safari park in Siddaianapura - Chamarajanagara, India

Any sanctuary you visit is an amazing art of nature. The animals in their natural habitat is the best thing you'll ever see and I think that's the best way to accept them as they are. It was really a surreal experience. We did spot a leopard a little farther than the sanctuary while it was on the move. Would recommend visiting when in Karnataka. Humble request do not throw anything out of the vehicle and maintain silence since you would not want to disturb the forest decorum. Silence can help you great animal sightings.

Bandipur National Park is huge and dense but absolutely fantastic. The best part of the safari here is that it is government controlled hence limited number of vehicles are allowed, which is crucial to maintain the jungle. Being less commercial adds an extra amazing factor to this safari. Though we did not see the Tiger, we spotted lots of spotted deer, barking deer, sambal deer, elephants, Peacocks, fox, giant wood spiders and of course loads of monkeys. You are able to see many animals without extraordinary efforts. The main Gates will be opened from 6AM to 9pm only. For safari can be booked only or can get the ticket from counter, safari starts from morning 6am to 10 am and again they start in evening. It's all depends on the timing, luck spot a Tiger but one could able to see Gaurs, Elephants , Peacocks Deer & Birds.

In case you are lucky and weather is good than you will be able to see tiger else you can only see elephants, deer etc.. Somewhat i feel its not that worth of going deep into jungle... we can enjoy weather in Bandipur and on your way you can see Deer on side of roads...

The chance of sighting big cars are less nowadays. But elephants and gaurs are quite regular. Unlike Kabini, In Bandipur no need of prior online booking. Almost all the time we can get tickets for the safari. The staffs are good. There are some shopping counters also there. The safari starting point is in the road side itself.

We love the govt. Run safari here. Well maintained and well trained guides. The jungle is beautiful and spotting animals is just pure luck. If you happen to go during rains, you may be able to see more animals.

Visited July 2023 last week For direct visit without Resrvation, only bus safari trips(1.5hr) are allowed. Bus Pickup for Morning safari need to visit from 6-7:30 and afternoon from 2-4pm. Gypsy and other vehicles can't be availed without Resrvation. Bus charges- 650per person including safari entry charges. Below 7years free. Animals spotted- deers, reindeer, elephant, eagle and very limited animals. We saw more animals on our way to masinagudi in TamilNadu which is just 10mins away from here. Eateries/ soveneirs- there is a tea stall, one soveneir shop and art shop located here for shopping. T-shirts we're about 600 but head caps which co at about 350 were worth the money.
