Did not have the best ticketing experience at Bandipur. It needs to be managed better specially at peak season as there is a huge number of tourists coming here. I had to wait for more than 2 hours in the queue for the confirmed tickets and thereafter another 1.5hours to get the bus. The Safari was worth the wait as we saw a lot of animals. If the ticketing can be improved it would be better. For toursists visiting during year-end please make sure you have enough time if you are availing counter tickets. You also have option of online booking which is a better choice!!
This is a great jungle safari if you want to view tiger in its natural habitat. However, I would like to point that spotting a tiger is next to impossible if you take a bus ride. Take a gypsy to spot tiger. Also, if possible, take the early morning gypsy to spot the tiger as that is the best time. The chances of spotting a tiger are high during the first safari. The whether is chilly during morning. I suggest you keep something to keep you warm. Kids will enjoy this place. There are many animals to watch in this safari. Please try to book online as you won't be able to book offline before the day. Their policy is first come first serve.
Don't go very very worst experience in safari, price is very high and showing less animal's only elephant,deer & peakok.
It's a beautiful drive with a very scenic view, you would be very lucky to spot a tiger but you can easily spot some spotted deers, elephants,wild boars and peacocks
Leopard was visible during the Safari but we failed to see any tiger .We saw lots of peacocks and deer.

The rate is very high... in bus they almost charge is 610/person...and its not worth it...
There is a different price online ; and when we go there for offline ticket the prices are very high . It's like take it or leave it They charge 650 per person for bus and 1100 per person for Gypsy . Kabini is much better ; they don't charge this high. Ways of making money by Bandipur forest.
