Worst experience staying here, location of the place and roads are horrible. Cons: 1. Location of the room is far away from Bandipur and road to reach the place is very worst, we had a small rain when we stayed and our wheels got stuck in mud and tried hard to pass the road. Once we reach room we were stuck in the room itself. 2. Room is not luxuries nor clean as they said, we asked 5 or 6 times for bathroom towel to be provided. 3. They don't allow us to eat inside the room. In the night there are lot of insects lured by lights so we decided to eat inside but the staffs not allowing us to eat inside and asked us to switch off the lights and eat outside. Literally we had dinner in plain dark and we found insects on the food itself we are not sure it was there when it cooked or served. 4. Plates are not cleaned properly they had last food remaining. 5. Experience is not par with their cost. Too costly with very bad customer service and room. 6. This is not in the wild forest, it's in a farm land inside a village called Mangala. Pro: 1. Home made food is very tasty and delicious. Only one pro is food is good but it fade out by all other cons, definitely not recommended for the family. For this price we couldn't have stayed in Bandipur or Theppakadu govt accommodations. Two stars for location and decent rooms. We were a group of 12 friends with wildlife intrest and nature. We have travelled across South India and stayed at home stay every time. This is our worst experience so far, service element was missing all the way and food was below average. Staff have no idea about service their words and tone were disappointing had to request repeatedly. We were treated like unwanted guest. The comfort and warmth of home stay was missing all the time. We had no water to drink, were given a 5lt reused bisleri can,refilled twice, had no bottles to refill. When asked were declined and dispenser was inside the kitchen - inaccessible, we managed with water bottles we carried. Plates and utensils were not clean. Food quality was pathetic, chicken biryani (ordered separately) was decent for lunch, while afternoon rasam and sambar were served for night dinner with less quantity of rice, three of us slept with out dinner. Coffee and tea were running tap water with no ingredients. Breakfast was served with burnt omelette, black bread roast, un-cooked kesribath, turmeric rice as lemon rice... Rooms were decent with clean toilets, the path leading to them is under construction filled with slush. No hot water, were told no power.... Located at the edge of Bandipur makes it good location with hill view. Info on Instagram with fake pictures and paid publicity is fatal, please avoid this place if you can.

Well, first off.. the pictures online and paid videos on social media are very misleading. The beds were clean but the food was by far the worst. The property care takers have no knowledge on hospitality so could not expect good service there. No arrangement for extra curricular activities and rain stopped the bonfire so only option was to play cards. Cannot play music as it is a reserve forest which is understandable but electricity is a huge issue as there was no proper backup inverter. The property is old so by now a lot of upgrades had to be done by the owner and none of it has happened so I would not expect any changes based on the feedback shared. Don't fall for the attractive price, paid reviews, cheap thrills, misleading photos/videos and ruin your trip !! I would suggest you avoid this place..

We had a pathetic experience. We couldn't stay more than an hour after reaching locality with difficulty. Road was not great but manageable till nearby village called Mangala. But from there to the resort location, road is horrible. You can't take a sedan car, especially in monsoon. It's open field in front of the cottage and super windy. We felt the cost of room is expensive for what it has to offer. We went there and returned within an hour, and later stayed in Teppakadu Govt stay literally for half the price of this and had a better staying experience than hillview property. Location is not precise, mobile connection you can't expect as it's forest, having property manager contact helped me to reach there. Room was good but bathroom was not so clean. I haven't felt any security measurement taken, though owner said many female had come and stayed alone for weeks! Not sure how close this to reality by witnessing the that remoteness of the location. But I felt people who work there innocent and I understand the difficulty of getting veggies and cooking for us. So we had prepared food for us by paying for that. However, the property is suitable for hanging out with friends, have enough space to play around and stay peacefully. Had a wifi facility if you want to work remotely. Overall, I could rate it as good if the cost is less than 2.5k per room even if I had gone with friends.

They won't turn on UPS during the Day 8) Overall not the Greatest of place. Just avoid this place and save you time and money.

Very dissapointed with the staty. Especially the food and electricity. whole night there was no electricity. Back up is not sufficent infact they don't run the UPS until and unless we request them many times. Road to reach the place is very horrible. Rooms are not as good as it is shown in the website. Too costly with very bad customer service. WiFi is free that is the one good thing we had but without electricity it is of no use.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere The hospitality created a warm and good atmosphere felt like a family. Coming to delicious home food-each meal was served nicely showcasing the local flavours and ingredients.

Had a great time in bandipur hill view homestay 5/5 I would say this is one of the best homestay i have stayed, if you're a nature lover must visit place. Fantastic hospitality by the owner Mr Karthik with friendly staff and got to know information about nature and forest. Food was yum had multiple options in veg and non veg. Must try gobi manchurian at evening with amazing weather.
