It is a conservation success story. There was hardly any forest and hardly any animals when the Prince donated the land. Subsequently, b the first came back to life and the animals came back as well. The density of the Tigers is the highest in the world although we didn't see any. Guess you have to try a few times at different times of the day. Would love to come here again someday and maybe see the tiger. Not sure why they close the core area on July 20. Our Safari was in the Buffer zone - that could be why we didn't see anything
If you dont get core zone tickets.dhamokhar buffer zone is another good option for tiger sightings.
Had great experience here. Tour guide Lallan singh & driver anshu are very good. We saw plenty birds, peacock, deer and footprints of tigress and her son. We tried alot to find out both of them but didn't saw them. But overall it's great experience.
Were able to see one Tigress with great difficulty after waiting for for over 1. 30 mts, as we had to run from one place to another. Saw Deers in good nos. Wild Dogs were also visible.
I didn't see the tiger, but the jungle was amazing and I saw a lot of other animals such as big bucks, wild buffalo etc and also a lot of peacocks.
It is waste of money as you are spending Rs 8000 just for viewing a tiger which is mostly not available to be seen,u r just testing ur luck or gambling 8000 of your hard earned money.If you are a die hard fan of tigers then you should Go
Entry point of Damokhar buffer zone. Toilets are available at the gate with no water in taps. Boring water is available on demand. There is one snack shop on the gate who makes tea and samosa only. If you get a chance buy mangoes which is much cheaper than any where else. This is break fast point for morning safari's.
It was just magical !!! Watching wild animals in their habitat in front of you roaming freely is mesmerising. Whoever is planning I would suggest them to go for morning and evening safari both. #BeWithNature #Tigers
