when u visit the park go with the intention to see the nature and the forest and the many creatures it encompasses not just for the tiger... if u see a tiger good but seeing the other natural habitats of the area is also exciting... thankfully all my guide, naturalist and driver were amazing and had the complete idea of the forest. POINTERS 1. October and November best weather conditions not too cold neither hot 2. comfortable and mostly covered clothes to save from insects and mosquitoes 3. can be too tedious for toddlers 4. bumpy drive (although u can ask ur driver to drive u accordingly) We could see the tiger on the main highway road outside the jungle area so be positive and vigilant. Opening and closing day of the park are little unorganised otherwise forest management is good. Follow the forest rules to the bones so u will be safe. Must visit

Only once in a year ... Free entry on Janmashtami to visit Bandhavadheesh temple on top of the hill situated in core area of tiger reserve. One way 8 km, total 16 km trek passing through abandoned caves temples and numerous murtis scattered in jungle. Route passes through sheshshaiyya and kila gate.

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is in district Umariya in MP. It is only 36 kms from umariya from railway station. From jabalpur it is 200 kms from airport. You have to go there by road if you want to travel by train so only umariya is the nearest station. From katni railway station it is about 100 kms . Before 1972 this park was declared a national park but in 1993 it was declared as a bandhavgarh tiger reserve.Sita and Charger are credited with raising most of the children in Bandhavgarh. These cubs were the precious gifts of nature to the bandhavgarh forest. This forest is under surveillance of MP forest department. At that time the villagers cooperated a lot and vacated their homes and relocated themselves outside the forest at the behest of the government to preserve the wildlife. Today most of these villagers are either guides or drivers of Gypsy safaris in this National Park because they are aware of every nook and corner of the jungle. Today the palace of the old king is present. It is said that he had shifted to Rewa. After his departure, only lions rule the entire jungle. Before coming here, book your hotel online. You can book hotels of many rates, including five-level hotels, according to your budget. Get a permit made online as well, then that permit will be verified before the safari and you will have to take tickets which cost 3000/- for the gypsy and 400/- for the guide. In this national park there are 2 safaris Magdi and Tala . Forest is completely filled with bamboo trees and saal trees. Very dense forest full of beautiful wildlife . This national park is one of the most amazing park in India full of tigers. Very thrilling and amazing place to enjoy wild life. Worth visiting place.

They say if you are lucky you'll see the tiger here in Bandhavgarh every time and that's true, while doing your Tiger Safari at Tala you'll surely see the tiger. I have even see. The man eater tiger which use to pass through our cottage in the buffer area. Stayed there for almost a year plus ... Had an amazing experience while living amongst nature and wildlife. Use to fly over the villages and the forest with my para motor. The national tribe of india the "Baiga" tribesmen lives here. This place has amazing resorts and good connectivity. Highly recommended for nature and wildlife lovers. Below you can see the pics which I had clicked while flying.
