Bamboo Lake Forest, Tavarekere - Tourist attraction in Gerahalli - Bengaluru Rural, India

Visited this amazing place slightly off the Highway while returning back to Bangalore from the Kendatti quarry. It's about half a km detour from the highway. A small pathway leads to this marshy area where water has collected around the trees. Nice spot for a decent off road ride for off road enthusiasts. My Duke 390 had no problems with this patch.

Lovely place for birdwatching and views of farm land. You may park your car on the highway safely

It's an awesome lake view with sunrise or sunset with bamboo trees in the lake. There will be no places to eat so you can get water & snacks. Pro tip - visit after light hours like post 6am for better visibility of muddy road as it's inside a small village

The kaccha road leading to this lake has some fallen branches, so tread carefully and wear good shoes! This place looks super, a very different landscape. But is very small. And a little smelly due to stagnant water. Very close to Bangalore, makes for a good half day trip. And also a good birding spot. Carry food and water along. Good spot for sunset.

Can't belive this beautiful secretive place is less than an hour's drive from Bangalore! Such a lovely place for bird lovers & nature lovers. Best time to visit is either for sunset or sunrise... no place to sit so not a perfect place picnic etc. Also not advisable to go when it rains. The mud road gets too slushy. We spotted lots of water birds, some migratory ones & some tiny birds as well. Also met a harmless lil water snake. Can spend about an hour here. Can meet the locals who come for fishing. No specific place to park your vehicle. Need to park on the main road and walk. Bikes can go inside but risky if it rains But overall a wonderful place.

If you don't have much time in hand to travel far and want to spend sometime away from hustle bustle of the city then should visit this place. Best timing would be early morning or during sunset. Perfect place for bird watchers and photography lovers. Maximum time to spend around 1.5 to 2 hours exploring the lake. But you can't get into the water and even no boating or other type water activities are allowed.

A good place to visit for a refreshing walk beside the lake. It's a 30mins drive from bengaluru and it open for all and not maintained by any entity. Road is very narrow, only bikes can pass through, cars need to be parked near the entry and walk 200m to reach the lake. Do not expect much here based on the photos or high reviews as there is no place to sit and chill or any place nearby for a quick bite.

Nestled diagonally opposite to Golden Amoon resort. This not so frequented forest is a brilliant eye candy. Best time to visit would be around sunrise or sunset The golden ball of light reflecting in the waters calms your nerves and is a sight to behold. The trees have been planted in straight lines and they seem to be flooded for a while now. It is a nice picnic spot for people who would love to avoid the crowd and do something else for a change
