Balle Balle Dhaba - Punjabi restaurant in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas North, India

Not at all authentic punjabi restaurant!! Bad food and very bad service. Bad and dirty washroom! If you go by the name of places, do not go here! There's nothing punjabi here. We had ordered - Jeera rice - too oily! Very bad! Tandoori roti - just ok! Kadhai Paneer - tasted Ok, because of very less salt in it. Yellow Dal Fry - tasted good Malai Kofta - very bad! Service- very slow service. Also it was not clean at all. The waiter was wiping the plates with a dirty cloth! Very Unhygienic. There was no hand wash in the washroom. When we asked for it, they said sorry we don't have it as it's finished. When we said we can't have food here , then he went outside and brought the hand wash from some store nearby. Washroom was dirty too! No maintenance! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

One of the Best North Indian Restaurants. The curries at this restaurant is just wow. The Chicken Tangri Kebab is a killer. Big and juicy from the inside. We had the Chicken Biriyani / Fish Tikka Butter Masala/ Egg Masala and Garlic Naan. The Fish was very tasty and fresh. The Garlic Naan was really good. Egg Masala was rich. All the items were different and delicious in their own way. People who enjoy North Indian food. This is the place to visit and smile after the meal. Happy Eating Always here

The pros to begin with. The decor was nice and bright. The service was quick. Both the mutton and chicken pieces were soft. Coming to the main point, i.e. taste of food was below average. The adrak ke panje was quite bland and lacked the punch. The sauce was only smeared and the marinade didn't penetrate the meat properly. The chicken tikka masala though soft was also quite bland. The masala cold drink lacked carbonation.

Despite its name as a Punjabi dhaba, the food served was not satisfying. The laccha paratha felt like papad, neither nun nor laccha. The taste of chicken bharta and egg tarka was disappointing. Although the decor was pleasant, the prices were a bit steep for the quality of food.

A very pathetic experience I had from my last visit. Food quality and taste were below the worst. The place also overcrowded, staff are also failed to provide the services on time. Truly disappointing.

It was not a very good experience this time. As wn t food was served ty gave us end cutting of tomatoes, which they claimed as paneer tikka's kabab, as shown in t photo. The only option for masala thumpsup was at ambient temperature, when i asked for ice, they directly refused that, we dont have any ice. Air conditioner was not working, it was off, i requested them to put on the ac, but inspite of my repeated request they did nothing. Finger bowl was cold, as while putting them on my table, they told me sorry sir there is no hot water. I had to borrowed salt and pepper from my neighbor's table. The price is quite economic, but what if the over-all service is bad. Its not at all worth going to that place. I was feeling like sitting at howker's corner with restaurant facilities. Overall this kind of service was not expected by such a big restaurant.

The very first thing I would like to mention is the poor behaviour of the staffs, they were doing a favour by feeding us . This is the soul reason I won't visit the place anymore. Coming to the food it was okayish, they should improve. We had Chicken Pahari Kebab as starter, Mutton Rogan Josh and Masala Kulcha. Open kitchen is something I liked and I also liked was the happy Punjabi decor.

Perfect place to have punjabi dishses. Try to go with the kebabs, Rotis, Tandoori etc.bjt try to avoid the rice items. Talking about the ambience ... It's really a nice one totally designed with bollywood movie posters comedy scenes and many more.
