Really nice to visit just after monsoon season ends. Literally quiete place..nice fifthy crowd..no Halla gulla...just midst of the nature ...i just listend nature there....
We reached this point by descending from kates point by walk as we had our friend who is from mahabaleshwar who knew route up from there. This place is very quite and offers good views for photography. After 5pm its starts to get cold so you need to reach ST stop quickly to nearby village which will take you to wai st stand. Best place for visit with friends not recomended with family late evening as there is no crowd here since its inside from main tourist places of wai.
Beautiful place to visit/camp in rainy season. You must bring your food with you as this place is in lap of mother nature.
To reach here one has to cross Wai village. Which lies near Mahabaleshwar. Even in summers it has good water level. So definitely in winters and rainy seasons this place will be amazing spot to visit to look for the nature and the fresh green scenery with ample of water in the water body. From there you can visit konya wildlife sanctuary or konya dam and the very popular Mahabaleshwar(very commercialized and crowded). So if you planning to visit Mahabaleshwar then do stop at this point where you can enjoy peace and nature.
Dam is awesome Looks gorgeous Nature around here is pleasing & beautiful Viewing this dam from Kate's point is mind blowing the nature looks like someone painted it Krishna river is born in mahabaleshwar so that adds to it. After seeing that beauty we couldn't able to get over it so we stayed there for more time
While staying at a farm stay at Wai in November 2015, we drove down along the Krishna River down to the Balkawdi Dhom Dam. It is geographically located just below Kate's Point in Mahabaleshwar, but you cannot drive up directly. Maybe there is a trekking route but we did not try it. We stopped at the edge of the dam and enjoyed the scenery of the cool waters of the dam and lake and the lovely greenery. It is a wild and beautiful place with no restaurants or hotels.
EXTREMELY scenic lake and dam surrounded by ever green forest and deep blue water lake, Don't miss it during rains
It was great experience to visit this place as one day tour. We started journey from pune at morning 8am and reached the location by 10.30am. During mansoon this place is full of greenery. Multiple Waterfall view is the attraction for tourists. Nice place to visit with family
