Famous age old restaurant in the city. I loved the chicken fry and porotta. I would compare this with Rappai hotel (this may be even better) in Palarivattom, Ernakulam. Even though we dined in, more than dine in it's the takeaways. Car Parking is a bit difficult.

Average experience. No tea and coffee options. Porotta was not cooked well. Beef curry was tasty but the quantity was not enough. The hotel claims Rs.15 for 'Kappa' in their menu but charges Rs 50. Customers will be confused with this price discrepancy. Budget friendly. But need to be improved.

Tasty chicken fry,beef Fry and coin Porotta is the highlight for this place.. They are using fresh cocanut oil to prepare food.. Dinning space is very less and crowded.. Most of the customers opting take away due to less parking and dinning space.need to pay advance and take token for take away,Expect 20-30 mintutes get our turn.. Main negative is their attitude to customers, behaving very rudely, Staff's are non corperative and supporive.

I recently visited Balans Kamalam restaurant in Trivandrum and I must say that the parotta and chicken fry were fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Been a customer since childhood. It was to the right side at first a small daaba like then business got good and he changed it to opposite side. Still provides one of the best chicken fry in the area. Ppl say beef is too good. If you are visiting trivandrum this is one place your taste buds must get to experience.
