Not a Major Railway station. Renovated recently.Dormitory and Upper class waiting room is not functional. No proper bathrooms&Toilet.A small cafe and snacks shop available on First Platform.
Station is clean and well decorated. Do not have cover in few spaces. Only available transportation is Auto. Outside you will find pleanty auto in Auto-Ricksaw stand. Auto are available even in the 4 am in the morning. Tea/Snacks stall are available. SBI ATM is just adjacent to Station booking/reservation counter.
Beautiful place and my hometown. Balangir is a princely state and also known for the best connecting chowks. Balangir is one of the best planning city in India and city was planned by a German architect. Also the one of the hottest place. The town looks most beautiful during Dussera and Diwali. So many festivals and western odisha's rich culture makes Balangir unique.

There are 5 platforms 3 of them are running and others 2 are under construction, but this station is neat and Clean. Out of the station u can easily get hotels and lodges . Which help peoples stay and take a snap.
