Bala Fort - Historical landmark in Alwar - Alwar, India

What a beautiful location. Undergoing renovations, but worth the effort. The drive from base to fort is excellent. Wondering..why these historical places were missed till now. It has the potential of having a landmark in tourism in India.

Bala Fort/Quila also Known as Alwar Fort A must visit place in in Alwar town. Not exactly in the town, just a twenty minute drive from the city. The location of the fort is inside the buffer zone of Sariska sanctuary. The best way to visit the fort and surrounding forest area is to use the gypsy safari. Cost is 1890 for a two hour ride and it is worth to the last cent. Sufficient parking is available outside the entry gate, park your vehicle there close your eyes and take the gypsy safari. Six people can seat comfortably in it. The Safari Includes fort visit,a ancient Devi Temple(this of off-roading)and jungle Safari. There is a rudraksha tree inside the fort premises.

Difficult to reach destination that to with four wheeler.Although historical but not that magnificent apart from being situated on high hills.Neither guide is available nor any description of different buildings is written anywhere. A bit disappointing. An exhibition of old arms & ammunition is underway.

When we checked about 2 weeks ago, the palace was closed for renovation. However the palace is accessed through Sariska Tiger Reserve forest. So we undertook a safari jeep ride to explore the jungle. It turned out an excellent step, as the greenery was just too much, and we could spot a number of birds and sambar deers.

Good views from top. Parking soace available at the fort gate. This fort lies within the Sariska Tiger Reserve buffer zone so eatables are not allowed inside the fort complex out gate onward. Overall this fort can be seen in less than an hour.

Yes the fort is good and the nature view is osm but to reach the fort is hard because of bad road. It was close in festival holding like dashera.

The fort is shutdown for maintenance these days & will remain open after 6 month as per the local persons but there is a worth to visit this place because after reaching there you will get awesome views of hills , city & clouds. If you want to take a best view , you must visit in the early morning when clouds cover the city & you are above the clouds. Overall the surrounding area is awesome & great experience
