Best place to bring young kids. Perfect spot for a weekend outing with family. No good public toilets. Need more improvements. Too many people visit here especially on weekends. There is a food court but the taste is average. There are different kinds of games for both kids and adults like boating, toy train and many more games. There are entry tickets and you need to buy tickets for each game at the entrance itself. Need more improvement on this place.
I visited Bal bhavan on Sunday , the crowd was so high , so I recommend you people to visit on weed days or very early on weed ends . Every Monday is a holiday and every 2nd Tuesday of all the months is also a holiday , the lunch break is from 1:30 to 2:15 . You have to take an entrance ticket which is Rs20 , and extra ticket charges for boating , toy train ( putani express) for children it costs Rs10 and for adults it costs Rs30 and again you have to wait in queue for the toy train and boating even though you waited in the entrance for the ticket . Then you have a break dance ride, a dragon ride or a small roller coaster and you have a ship ride . You have many shops inside for having snacks but they charge Rs5 extra on MRP each. Also for kids there are many play areas to play like swing , slide , loops etc .
Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park, and I must say, the restoration work by Bengaluru Smart City Limited and South Western Railway has truly brought back the magic of this place! The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the toy train ride, which used to be a primary attraction for children. Now, with the upgraded facilities, the train runs smoothly on its 1.25 km track, offering a delightful 8-minute ride through the lush greenery.The joy and excitement on the faces of the kids were heartwarming, and it was evident that the train has retained its charm over the years. The addition of a science park and various activities for children made the experience even more enriching for young minds. It's wonderful to see Bal Bhavan once again becoming a favorite spot for families during weekends and weekdays alike. The efforts put into restoring the island for boating were equally impressive, and it's now a pleasant place to spend some quality time with loved ones. The entire 12-acre area of Bal Bhavan has been transformed into a haven for children, offering not just fun but also learning experiences. Kudos to the Bengaluru Smart City Ltd. and the Horticulture Department for reviving Bal Bhavan and making it a vibrant space once more. It's truly a gem within Cubbon Park and a must-visit for families with kids seeking a delightful day out. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking to relive their childhood memories or create new ones with their little ones! Getting tickets here is a big task and it will be good if they start accepting UPI as well. right now they are accepting only cash. And adding to that cleanness needs to be addressed I felt but i could see still development is going on.
Worst management at the park. Anyone who plans to visit Bal Bhavan then prepares to queue for at least 45 minutes to buy the entry ticket. Worst experience. One person issues the tickets in the box office. If somebody raises concerns, then safety only gives reasons, no solution. I would request Bal Bhavan management to look into this issue seriously.
The Wheel of the Dragon toy train broke and fell down, luckily no one would hurt. Give a contract to those who deserve and maintain quality and service. Hanging boat also the same condition. Too much noise while it is operating. The issue of tickets must be improved to avoid long queues..
