Bahin Rajbari (Castle) (Remnant Of An Old Castle) - Castle in Bahin, Makra - Dinajpur Uttar, India

Visited with friend. A beautiful place beside Nagar River, you can ride *daar tana nouko* also in backsided nagor river. There is no entry fees. One of the old sign of architecture we can see. However due to lack of maintenance it became very brittle. Now a days a police camp has been established there.

Rajbari itself is a beacon of our history in this area and situated on a bank of Nagor river... Though it's not a castle but a small jamindar House.Instead of preserving it government first left it with a signboard. When all illegal activities started to happen here, government made it a small police camp without repairing. Only one good thing is you can do boating on the river. People come to here to photoshoot specifically pre wedding photography. Boating cost is Rs100/person.

Best for one day tour and you can do photoshoot there mast visit the river and you can do boat ride if you want go with your family....

One of the places I have been visiting from my childhood. It does not require any introduction, this place is known for its clamness and the haritage view overall. However, recently police officers have started to stay here due to some irregular activities of people.

The place isn't well maintained. A derelict structure beside the nagar river. But the surrounding makes this place a must visit place in Raiganj. The tranquility of the river , the activities of the fishermen, the slow breeze on the river while riding the boat, it's all just make a wholesome moment .

The Bahin Zamindar Bari is situated at Bahin, a village in Raiganj block in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal, India. It is a ruined castle situated beside the Nagar River at the boder of Bengal and Bihar. To reach this place you can get a Toto from Raiganj Bus Stand. The place is near the border of Bihar. The house is on the banks of Nagar river which divides Bangal and Bihar. Bahin Zamindar Ishwar Chandra Chowdhury built the house. The Zamindar house is built of bricks. There are large rooms and a verandah in the house. As the Bahin zamindars could not pay attention after leaving the house in 1965, the responsibility of maintenance was handed over to Bharat Sebashram Sangha. However, the situation became worse due to not paying attention in that way. According to local sources, the area of rajbari was covered with weeds due to lack of maintenance for a long time. It is also reported that the locals have broken down the doors and windows. Once again, this dilapidated house became an arena for anti-socials. Nice place but no idea of making it a heritage from Govt. Situated right on the bank of river Nagar. Other side of the river is Bihar. It is almost ruined. Carrying the sign of ancient history, it is standing still now. Communication is well. But 1.5 mile of road is broken. Food and drink are available here. Surrounding of the Palace is very dirty and full of weeds and other shrub. Though police barracks are there but I think the place is not safe after evening.

This is actually a RUIN of the king ... In the opposite side of the river is Katihar subdivision . It's a beautiful place but could be maintained to glorify it's dignity and charm. This place is situated just 15 kms away from Raiganj City and could be explored anytime. There is a provision of boating by the local people if you wish. River is very calm and major fishing activities could be observed . So, when you will be visiting Raiganj , might visit this place ...
