Beautifully nestled in the midst of village, surrounded by agriculture fields and ponds, we went here for photographing Fishing Cat, Water Monitor Lizard, Black Jackal among others. They have their own safari vehicle and trained guide who can assist you in sighting. Rooms are well furnished with A/C. Food is authentic Bengali cuisine from locally sourced ingredients. They charge too much for too little really. Sighting the fishing cat is just a matter of luck although these guys claim to give you "guaranteed sightings". When sightings don't happen they keep you distracted with unrelated things like a visit to a nearby nursery and food. The food here is indeed very good. But it really does not serve the objective of going to this place. Also if you are travelling with family please be cautious when you go out for night safaris. Since fishing cats are only seen at night. In one of our safaris we were stopped by a local goon and things got pretty ugly.

A must go place for Peace and wildlife lovers. Its only place in India where they take u for night safari in special silent battery operated vehicle to show u night wildlife and specially FISHING CAT. Place is a heritage building but interiors are luxury.

This is probably the only place in entire world where you can see the rare wild fishing cat almost without miss. This is a premium home stay for wildlife enthusiasts and one of the best in India of its kind.
