Being located very near (approx 300m) to the Tala Ticket Counter of Bandhavgarh, the resort can be a good place to be considered for staying if the main purpose is to visit the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve through Tala gate. Rooms were well maintained and tidy with clean attached bathroom. Better to opt for air-conditioned rooms in summer as the resort provides single cottage style rooms which are not that comfortable in summer. Fans were moving slowly at their highest speed that are not sufficient to get rid of the scorching heat of the summer that the place experiences. Foods are also available on demand, but little costly. RO water (normal and cool) was available. Behavior of the staffs and their service were also up to the mark. Overall good experience.
Budget hotel, location is absolute spot on! Walking distance to Tala gate and right in the middle of the market. Food tasted very good and hygiene maintained. Toilets were clean. Room was good for 2 adults. No WiFi but the mobile network works just fine.
First of all, don't be misguided by the 'resort' word in it's name. Our experience was more like 'homestay'. The hotel is situated on main road of Tala village, very easy to find. Next to it are convenience store, art/gift shop, another true 'resort', SBI ATM. The staff are very co-operative. Pls factor in 1 hour for lunch/dinner order to be ready. So always pre-ordered and food would be ready in time. Food options are limited, but they try their best to offer as much option as they can. And the homely cooked food is delicious!! There is open dining sitting under trees as well. Hot water provided on request in thermos. Hot water available in bathroom only certain times because the heater is solar operated. For our morning safari trip at 6.30 am, we skipped bath prior to safari, because hot water was not available. But that's ok because we preferred to bathe after we come from safari for dust reasons. They tie up with Safari officials so the Gypsy comes for door step pickup. The rooms are spacious, well-lit, has Tata Sky TV as well. Next day, the manager 'Deepak' also arranged for Innova pick up for us to drop at Umaria railway station. All rates are reasonable and you feel like giving handsome tip to the staff esp. kitchen staff.
It is a decent place yo stay. We came to Bandhavgarh just for one night as our ride was on the next day and we had to return. So basically we just needed to stay for the night. This place is good for that. It has breakfast lunch and sinner facility too. You'll not have a resort kind of feeling here, but I feel if you want to have that feel, go only when you are staying for 2-3 days.
The staff services to facilities were satisfactory. The location of the property is on the main road only and food service is also available in the resort. The room and the washroom was also neat and clean the staff had nice conduct. Overall I can say it was a value for money stay.
Its a homely environment with excellent staffs. This is very near to Tala gate and the ticket counter. In my experience, they always take extra care for customer satisfaction. I didn't have any safari ticket when I reached the resort, and one of the house staff stood in the line for 5 hours (yes, 5 hours) to ensure I get one. They were always ready to serve you. They also arrange some fire for us in the evening, with Mahua, which made our stay awesome. We also found the food excellent. Yes, its bit costly, but not compared to other comparable places (as a reference, for 3 meal, 1 breakfast each for 2 nonveg and 1 veg person and tea/coffee, we were charged ~2000INR). The rooms are good, but not excellent. But all common facilities are there. We only missed a pair of towel in the room (but we didn't asked for it, but should have been there. I am sure they would have arranged it if asked). Also, they won't serve you tea before your morning safari. For us, this is not a deal breaker. And I don't consider this two as a serious drawback. One real downside is internet. There is no Internet in the room. In the dining area and reception, you can ask the staff to switch on the dongle and connect. The speed is appreciable. But, if you are looking for a work-holiday or a hobby-holiday, its not the best situation. Overall, I am very satisfied with the staffs and the resort. I will go back to Bandhavgarh and stay with them again this summer.
First of all it's NOT a resort, just a hotel. You will find all kinds of facilities like ATM, Handicraft Shops, Food Stalls and Restaurants at walking distance of this Hotel. The National Park booking counter is just 10 minutes walking distance from this hotel. Room rents are very much affordable and best value for money. The resort has spacious rooms, but there is a lack of cleanliness. Also bathroom door in our room was not shutting properly. Food is OK, But bit costly in comparison to other national parks of MP. Also they lot of time to prepare the food, so it's better to order your food well advance. They also arrange for pickup from Katni / Umaria rail station if informed early. Cars are available from Baghela Resort to go to nearby place like satna, Katni, Khajuraho, Jabbalpur etc. Overall it's a mixed experience, but I would live to visit again for it's Location and low room rents.
Pros: Inexpensive. Good location near Tala gate and lots of space for family gathering. Extremely polite staff. Cons: Thorny plants in garden which may hurt children while playing. Only one big storage water heater for 10 rooms. Staff is polite but untrained local boys.
