Badnor House - The Heritage Homestay - Home Stay in Ajmer - Ajmer, India

Rarely do I give 5 stars but this 1 surely deserved it. This was one of the place we had planned during a long road trip and trust me this wad a great value for money. The owner is really friendly and has maintained rhe place beautifully. The room were really spacious (tip: the bed was really big so if you have kids they can fit easily so no need for extra room).

During my The Indian Bucket List journey - Giving Back I started from Jaipur and my first stop was Ajmer which is 135 kms from Jaipur. I chose to stay at Badnore House, Heritage Home stay as some friends had suggested the BnB. Location : Very centrally located near the RTDC Khadim and opposite Savitri College. The home stay is off the busy road but very peaceful and you hear no traffic noise all you hear is chirping of birds. Ambience: Home away from home in true sense as all rooms open into a nicely decorated verandah with ample amount of chairs and table. The verandah looks over an intimate garden which adds to peace and tranquillity of the place. The garden is very pretty with a fountain, garden benches, lots of flowering bushes and plants to name hibiscus, frangipani, bottle brush and indigenous rose among others. Rooms: 05 Guest Bedrooms with en-suite. All rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds complemented by side tables which house the lamp shades. Enough sockets to charge battery's and gadgets which comes handy for a traveller. There is writing desk, electric kettle with tea / coffee and sugar sachets. Bathrooms are spacious and ventilated. Good quality towels, soaps, shampoo and all basic amenities. Food: Breakfast only, which is normally included in the tarif. Eggs to order, cornflakes, toast, preserves, butter, parantha, curd, pickle, tea / coffee depending on your choice. Lunch / dinner can be ordered from local restaurants which is what I did and we were happy that our hosts suggested. Hygiene & Cleanliness : Every room, public areas and garden is slick n span as we say. From bed linen to common area seating to garden to dinning area (indoor & outdoor). Staff: you hardly see them but they pop up just when you need any assistance. Host: Mr. Sanjay Singh Badnore is very friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. Nothing is too much for him and his team. He is also an expert on local area, history, art, culture and food. He writes articles for major news papers and magazines. If you plan your trip to Ajmer he can organize a heritage walk of the city but please arrange that with him prior to your arrival. We had fabulous stay and recommend the place to travelers for experience and all that Badnore House offers.

Nice property within Ajmer with easy access to Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar temple. Rooms were equipped with necessary items but the doors were a bit jammed due to rain affected wood. Owner makes sure that he meets with every guest and treats them very well. Breakfast option is available if you tell them in advance for the next day and you need to get delivery for lunch and dinner which they pretty much declare before you move in to the property.

Superbe endroit, calme, joli jardin avec voliere. Belle chambre, tres propre et joliment decoree . Le proprietaire est tres disponible et de bon conseil Merci. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermes.

The Badnor house is very good, i have enjoyed my stay and great hospitality of the host Mr Sanjay singhji, he is very polite and he has very great knowledge, even the staff is very polite and well informed. I have followed what ever i wanted to explore the historical places he had guided us very well meanwhile room were clean and well dusted, the king sized beds and lavish breakfast was served to us. He has maintained the lovely ambiance and a good collection of the bonsai plants with natural local birds of ajmer. Also, specially the bathroom were neat and clean. I must say i should highly recommend my friends too to visit to his homestay as its better than hotels. i prefer heritage homestays.

Nous avons sejourne 2 nuits dans ce petit hotel de charme. Nous nous sommes tout de suite senties comme a la maison dans cet havre de paix loin de l'agitation d'Ajmer. Le proprietaire Sanjay est chaleureux et tres interessant. Nous avons particulierement apprecie discuter avec lui pour en apprendre plus sur sa maison d'hotes ainsi que l'histoire de la ville. Les chambres sont decorees avec beaucoup de gout et le jardin parfaitement soigne est ideal pour s'y reposer et bouquiner. Quant au petit dejeuner indien que nous avons pris a cote du jardin, il etait excellent et frais. Enfin toute l'equipe est aux petits soins avec ses clients. Ce fut un reel plaisir de passer 2 jours dans cette belle maison d'hotes.

I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone because of the most unprofessional behaviour. A day before I talked to them and got confirmation that they have rooms available for specific dates. Since I wanted to book for just one day for my aged parents and it was late night person asked me to come and visit tomorrow to look at the place and rooms. Also confirmed me u r room is blocked. I called him next morning and he started giving me all the possible excuses and I have no option left to go for here and there for my aged parents. I chose this homestay due to certain reasons and after having an experience like this, I wont recommend this to anyone. You are in hospitality industry and you should be professional when it comes to treat your customers even if you have challenges at your end.

We really enjoyed this place. Mr. Badnor is a very friendly and helpful person. Also the rest of the staff. It is a place of calm, clean and it is possible to meet other very interesting people from other countries - in our case from England / France. Mr. Badnor had his own private trouble but it was no problem for him helping us with some really bad experiences with our own driver. So we can say: Thank you for all!!!!
