Badi Baoli Stepwell - Historical place in Hyderabad - Hyderabad, India

This place has had a lot of maintenance work done to keep up the beauty of the historic structures.

Great place for a pleasant evening. We took a guide here for Rs. 100 and it was really worth it to know about 5+ Centuries detailed lifestyle and stories. The architecture of tombs are amazing with Hindu, persian and Muslim art work. Good for family outings. Great for couple shoots. Guide takes pictures with scenic views explaining bit to bit. Overall experience : 5/5

It's a Lovely place. Nothing much to see. But if you like visiting historical places. You must visit this place. There're visiting hours.

Under maintenance now. Its inside Qutub sahi Tombs, u need to get entrance ticket first.

Badi Baoli or the step well is a beautiful part of Qutub Shahi tombs . Should have maintained a big good but still is a good place to understand our history ,how the passage to the well is made and from where the water into this place comes . This place is in renovation by Aga Khan foundation and once it is done it will be a great place to watch for.

Qutub Shahi Tombs complex is located in Hyderabad which has got host of tombs size of which is huge and generally not seen elsewhere in India. Qutb Shahi Dynasty ruled Hyderabad during 1518 to 1687 AD period. The complex at present is under renovation. Tombs are huge and beautiful, amazing. Apart from a host of tombs, all inside the Complex, do not forget to visit Bari Bowli (Water Reservoir) which is left with little water (rainy) these days. Its structure is eye catching. May be after renovation, it be fully restored and water will again start flowing into the Bowli.

Marvellous Architecture and perfection in construction of beautiful old structure, there are many such bowli's in Hyderabad some existed and some destroyed. In 1985's movie "Paap ki Duniya" climax scene fights picturised here on Sunny Deol and Shakti Kapoor..
