All tourist points in JAISALMER are at walking distance Use Google map wisely It is same as patwao ki haveli Thats why we didn't wasted our money on buying tickets It was clearly visible from outside too Even nearby there is a cafe Tito....sit there drink coffee and look at the architecture of badal mahal The entrance part is free to go in Just go in and click the badal mahal from there Still if you love to explore must go in. In jaisalmer you do not require any vehicles...if you can walk good then you are good to explore whole city within 4-5 hours
It is good place to visit, in jaisalmer infact whole fort is nice and full of tourists if u visit it in November to February. There are various shops and vendors, restaurants inside as well as outside of the fort. There are 2 view points from where u can see the whole of the jaisalmer city.
Not so great,few artifacts are worth seeing. Major part of it is now a premium hotel. Security keep bothering you and want you to leave as soon as possible. Arrogant attitude of security puts me off. Battery operated old car and cart are worth watching.
Beautiful amazing architecture work in the Place located Gandhi Chowk Road Amar Sagar Pol, Jaisalmer built in 19th century. Badal Mahal also known Tazia Tower is tallest structure in town after the Jaisalmer fort. Entry fee Rs.30/- for Indian visitors.

Badal mahal is also called Mandir Palace, it is resident of ex Maharaval of Jaisalmer state. Half of the portion is converted in hotel . That is called Hotel Mandir Palace.
