Badal Garh - Tourist attraction in Jhunjhunu - Jhunjhunu, India

A beautiful atmosphere covered with hilly areas and temples around *badalgarh fort* (made around 18th century and ruled by Raja shardul Singh). A pahadi named *kaalipir* is in front of that fort which is around (600-700 m) had climbed by me and my friend. The view from that hill was amazing, we can able to see all area of jhunjhunu district. I love climbing so much and want you all to travel these places atleast once in your life...

A Statue of Veer Shiromani Shardul Singh Ji Maharaj... And beautiful garh for army.It is vaste parkota where the army can target the enemys from the height. There are four door available at this parkota... Seth Jugal Kishore ji Birla made a temple of chamunda Mata. You should visit this place.

Restoration needed awesome palace but locals ruined it

Originally built by the Kayamkhani rulers of Jhunjhunu ,it came under the control of Maharao Shardul Singh Shekhawat after he annexed Jhunjhunu. This fort served as a Garrison - Risala for Horses and Camels , is strategically located on top of a Hill and offers a panoramic view of Jhunjhunu city.

Badalgarh Fort situated in the Jhunjhunu district of the Shekhawati region was constructed under the regime of a Muslim ruler, Nawab Fazal Khan in the early 16th century. It is situated atop a hill and has lush green surroundings and an plenty of echo points to offer. It is also significant of the legendary battles that have been fought here. It was taken over by a Rajput leader Shardul Singhji in the 1730s. The Badalgarh Fort was built by Nawab Fazl Khan, towards the end of the 17th century. Though it is considered one of the popular forts of Shekhawati, it was basically built as a stable to protect the camels and horses. Therefore, this palace lacks the 'sheesh mahals' or mirror palaces and 'baradaris' or pavilions that is usually found in other palaces. Apart from providing views of the surrounding areas, the fort has three tombs or 'makbaras' of the Kaimkhani nawabs. The tomb of Nawab Samas Khan is situated to the east of the town and the tomb of Bhawan Khan that was built by Rohella Khan is situated to the west of the town. The Rohella Khan's tomb is like a solid block that is topped by a dome.
