Excellent place to relax. Service is very good and worthy to spend weekends with family in tents. Restrooms are maintained well. though vampire is extra 300 we enjoyed it well. No much mosquitoes . Early morning I walked to near by lake. Also hosts take you to near by mountain for trekking and they served water and hot tea. Moreover it's pet friendly place.
Amazing experience. It was our first own tent camping and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Starting from the welcome drink to lunch, snacks, dinner, campfire, stay, lake walk, breakfast; everything was very well organized. The food tastes awesome here, unlike many other places. You can even get your own stuff and cook yourself. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. If you are looking for a weekend getaway campsite that is near to Bangalore and still feels secluded, this is the place for you. Highly impressed and highly recommended.
Lovely place (pet friendly). Nice camping tents put up. We stayed for one night and had 1 breakfast, 1 lunch & 1 dinner. Fantastic unlimited food (quality & quantity awesome ). Went on a short trek to a local hillock to see the Sunset (absolutely wonderful) - 15 min drive & 20 min uphill. There is a huge lake behind the property. I would like to thank Indra, Chalaak, Deepak, Baktharaj for making it an unforgettable outing. Our pet (Anton - Golden Retriever) enjoyed thoroughly. I would definitely recommend Backtard Camp to people.
Koushik is a veteran adventure enthusiast, glad I got a chance to connect with him. The campsite is nestled between fruit trees and gives you the much needed relaxing charm. The hospitality by Indra and his team is impeccable. Highly Recommended.
Hands down, the best vacation my dog's ever had. Tons of open space to run around, lots of furry friends to play with (we'll miss you Lisa and Hello), polite & professional staff who're super cool with the dogs - need I say more? On the human side, the tents are very nice and spacious. Restrooms, though common, are extremely clean and well-maintained. Food, although veg, is super tasty and served in unlimited quantities. I don't think I've binged on veg food like this before. Also, they will set you up with a barbeque if you bring your own meat to grill. The fields and lake behind the camp are a delight to walk around in. Raw nature at it's beautiful best. The sunset trek is also pretty easy and chill (15mim drive followed by a 15min climb up). I'd say the cherry on top are the (mostly) cool folks you get to meet who're visiting/staying alongside you. Since most guests bring dogs, it's just an overall fun time for everyone involved. Thank you, Kaushik and team. You'll be seeing us again.
I had gone with my parents who are above 60+ years old and it was their first ever time camping so we were skeptical but this place exceeded our expectations. One of the most clean and hygiene places with comfortable tents, mattresses, and blankets provided by them. The food is absolutely to die for, being made fresh for every meal and a huge variety of dishes. They customized as you wish and personally serve each tent separately so give you full private service instead of a buffet like most places. The most generous staff is always ready to guide and help as required and the location is so serene and green along with a lake thag only adds to the fun and beauty. They are extremely pet friendly and my dog had a blast being off leash on the entire property and going swimming in the lake. A must visit for anyone interested to try a rustic yet memorable and fun experience along with their pets!
This was our first camping experience and we are so glad that we shortlisted this place for the stay. Everything was really well managed. Clean tents, clean washrooms, really tasty food, service was absolutely fantastic. The highlight was the bonfire, trek to sun set point and the person who accompanied us to the trek carried tea, biscuits and cups. What more can you ask for . Will highly recommend this place and would surely visit again.
What a gem of a place! It is the perfect weekend getaway at a stone's throw from Bangalore. The place is huge, surrounded by sapota and mango trees. The tents are large and very well spaced. There is ample seating for everyone. There is a lake nearby to relax by. Dogs will have a ball here running around in the wide open areas. The staff is courteous and very well mannered. They were very helpful throughout and catered to all our requests. The best feeling was to see our dog be a dog. Free and wild.
