It was a wonderful hotel. The view we can get was delightful. Mall road was very close by in a walking distance. The food was alright most of it was cold but that was because we woke up late. The staff was very friendly. It was a little disappointed when I found out there. Was no play area for kids but there is a park right under the hotel which I was satisfied by. The rooms were good and the washrooms had hot water. The only negetive point is that the room I got which was a family room which was a cottage had an unpleasant noise which was the water pump. The were kind enough to provide two heaters even though one made a noise. Also the lock was almost as old as the palace, very old. The hotel can do better. overall it was a great hotel.

Amit Sharma, a staff member, even personally went to the examination center to inform them of our situation, demonstrating remarkable dedication. The entire team at Backwoods BnB, led by Mr. Rahul Sood, exemplifies true hospitality and genuine care. Their collective presence and assistance made our stay extraordinary and heartwarming. Backwoods BnB is a standout choice for travelers, offering exceptional service, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional hotel experience.

Great place to stay when in Shimla. It's quite close to the mall road and all the famous destinations are walkable from this stay. It's a private road as it's quite close to the CM's place, hence no public vehicles are allowed which makes it even more peaceful. Mr Rahul is a very good host who ensures that everything is taken care of. The staff is also quite friendly. Breakfast and tea is good. Would recommend this stay to anyone who plans for a stay in Shimla.

the hotel was good but the location is very far away from the mall road... it is situated near the CM house so that's why no vehicles come near the hotel... staff behaviour was very good they were very helpful... overall nice hotel...

It's not hotel or homestay it's a lodge plz don't go as per review don't book it at all rooms are so small and smelly owner Rohan is so rude if u booked online and cancel it he will not refund a single rupee worst location it's showing wrong in Mall road

HOTEL OWNER RAHUL SOOD WAS VERY VERY RUDE. It was very pathetic experience at Backwoods BNB SHIMLA. Room was very small. Room toilet and bathroom don't have lock from outside. For this we asked hotel owner Rahul Sood saying we don't use lock from outside. It was foolish answer got from owner. How can they forgot to attach lock from outside. Which hotel use such kind of pathetic interior. They use double side type. Hotel staff was not co operative.

This is good. the communication from mall also good. Only mountain view is not there from the 1st floor room. Where as it maintains its mountain view. From 2nd & 3rd floor view should be very good. before booking just verify which room they are providing. there is much difference between mountain view and valley view.
