Small modest restaurant at oachira. Not near the bypass a bit inside. As name says it's beside a small backwaters. Lunch time can be a little hot but there's the natural wind that can cool you.. heat during lunch is a part and parcel of little restaurants. We ordered nadan(meaning authentic) fish curry meals, and plenty of add-ons( couldn't help it ).. kalumakkai fry, Ayla fry, crab roast.. all were superb. Very fresh. That's what matters you know. The freshness of sea food rather than the sophistication of the place. Really. We had a great lunch. I am sharing pics of their delicious dishes. I must say food is pricy but definitely worth the money.

This place is bigger than it looks means the dishes are quite tasteful. I ordered 2 meals, prawns roast and kallumekaya fry. The kallumekaya was top notch and rest was also nice. Bit pricey I must say but makes mindful.

Backwaters de is new eatery on the route to Ayiramthengu well known for fish and other seafood. The place is generally very crowded especially at lunch time. The food to be recommended is meals and fish curry and kizhi poratta

Excellent food and wonderful service. They maintain quality and provide ample quantity too. Must try.
