Babu Shahi Bawarchi - Mughlai restaurant in New Delhi - New Delhi, India

Babu Shahi bawarchi is located near Pragati maidan inside Matka Peer Dargah premise. This little shop is very old and serve authentic mughlai Biryani in typical delhi style. Few years ago this place known to be the best biryani shop in Delhi but now a days they lost their taste and fame. They hygiene level is below average at this place even you can say very poor in hygiene, utensils are very dirty and a quirky smell present at shop every time. There are some more biryani shops and stalls started in the same premise of Dargah Matka Peer one of them is golden biryani you can try biryani and kebabs at Golden Biryani this place is much more Cleaner than Babu Shahi.

I went here yesterday and got it packed Chicken Briyani and Mutton Korma, believe me the taste is still on my mind. It tasted so different from what i had till now including the popular outlets of old Delhi. Both items were so well made. I highly recommend this place to Briyani and Mutton lovers. Please keep in mind it's not a fancy place and it's meant for taste buds only who believes in eating authentic delicacies. The place is not a restaurant, its a take away and generally they make on orders but one can go anytime and get according to their needs/requirements. Small seating capacity is available.

Best briyani in the town that too in a reasonable price. They offer matka briyani with curry and glaouti kebabs. Its a must try if you're a briyani enthusiast. It's located adjacent to the hp petrol pump in Pragati maidan.

Babu Shahi Bawarchi : 20 March 2021, Best place where you can order non veg in bulk and they can prepare it for you. Chicken corma, Chicken biriyani, mutton biriyani, mutton corma. If you order one kg of chicken biryani that means one kg of raw rice and one kg of chicken it will be 5 kg in total after cooking and cost 600 Rs.

Amazing place worth the hype about it loved the taste so much mutton biryani and mutton Korma is so delicious rich and immense flavour I would really suggest to give a try only chicken biryani + chicken Korma amd mutton biryani + mutton Korma available

Less than ordinary. Used to be very good. Seems like time took its toll on this legend as well. Mutton korma meat quality was very good. Taste very ordinary. Biryani has changed and become achari, not Mughal anymore. Galauti was a waste of appetite and time. Khamiri roti was ok

The food is really tasty......There are 5 shops in the vicinity.......This one is the Best...... Portion sizes are huge....... Especially Birayani.....Order accordingly.......Build up a huge appetite......... Took Chicken Biryani and Mutton Korma today....... Looking forward for more

The authenticity of Biriyani of Delhi can get only in Babushahi Bawarchi. It's a take way and a best place to take food for parties. In 1 kg of Biriyani they deliver 2 kgs of it. 1:1 ratio in which you get 1 kg of rice n 1 kg of chicken. So when you order..watch out for appetite :).
